GETTING READY TO CRUISE...NO BIG DEAL

Actually, we sort of looked at each other...idle conversation..."when dyou want to pack?"..came to the same conclusion..."we're driving to Galveston Fri, we can do it Thursday...we don't need anything..."...we've done it so often its almost routine...used to be, (back in the day) we'd start almost a week before..all kinds of stuff all over...it was a big deal...not anymore...

GIL...got the noti of your post, but the post is MIA...liked your idea about "cross packing" some items...but that leads to more "conversations" during the process.....heheheheh...gets me to wondering...losing luggage is rare on a cruise...don't want to jinx us (or anybody).....

Same room is too risky....too much opportunity for ....((ahem)) "discussions". "aren't you taking this??...why are you taking that?..how does this look on me..still fit?"" and so on...nononononono.....

Sounds familiar. We pack in the same room, but at different times. The "extras" are separated as well.Big Smile

Well...we're sort of dancing around packing.....sort of.....thing is, once you actually start, you start......no more piddling....we learned long ago to do it in separate rooms....we know who gets to carry which "extras"......go ahead, forget something...I dare you heheheheheheh

My favourite cruise destination.

We first cruised on the maiden voyage to Alaska on the Legend of the Seas many years ago.

We left Miami, panama canal, and Hawaii and then Alaska.

Loved Alaska so much we went back for the next 2 years. It is beautiful.

Lynn is wonderful

Oh, so true! The suitcases stay put away until the day before we leave. So while I'm not "packed" until then, I have things set aside that will go into the suitcase. Also he is a neat packer and I'm not!!!Wink

There are two kinds of people who pack for vacations: those who pack a month ahead, and those who pack five minutes before leaving for the airport. They are usually married to each other.

Great idea!!!! I'm in!!!! wife thinks I dress like that now.....hehehehhe
