Is it true that sometimes Carnival sells additional FTTF packages closer to the sailing date even though they are listed as sold out months before?

FTTF availability

FWIW, we couldn't find ANY WAY to predict when it would become available from one CCL cruise to the next...no rep had any idea, let alone given the present circumstances. I read somewhere (mebbe on CCL's FAQ's ? or some blog someplace) that it can become available anywhere from 6-18 months prior!...all any rep ever said to do was keep checking their "excursions" page. we started about 4-5 months ago for our 2/27/21 cruise (IF it actually happens)...one or the other of us would log in and look almost every single morning. Got old, but we kept at it. It appeared 5/30..$109.95...snagged it immediately. Found it by accident a few cruises back, and took a shot...its well worth it!!! of course, its billed immediately too, being an "excursion"....Given their "rules" as to priority and eligibility, its the only way we can get it...we have more than enough points to be platinum elsewhere, but if we live, it'll become part of the package automatically with CCL too. Not tooooo many more cruises with them...keep checking!! good luck!!
Surprisingly, it has been available for several sailing since last month.
Oh wow! I didn't know that.. I usually don't look for it. We arrive later to the port so our rooms are typically ready once we board. Much easier with a 5 yo and a hubby who takes forever to relax LOL
I did read that they were going to suspend FTTF for a while.. just because of the new protocols that will be put in place etc. Keep your eyes open as things change all the time and they may begin to sell it again.

Aunt Pinkie, thanks for your quick response. Guess we will keep on the watch closer to the cruise in hopes that more passes will become available.
My question about FTTF has to do with traveling with a group. Not all of us were able to purchase the FTTF. Will the rest of our group be able to board with us?
It isn’t usually allowed!

It's not $119 for all sailings. Price varies on the number of days and ship.
I am sailing June on the Sunrise for an 8 night and it was $89.95 (with 10% excursion credit using the Carnival MC).
Following :) Same questioning :)
I have a question for anyone who has recently been on Carnival Imagination who purchased the F2TF package....
Were you able to board the ship BEFORE your arrival appointment time?
Also, WHAT TIME is the earliest you can board assuming you can board early having F2TF?
WILL staterooms been available for F2TF IF you arrive ahead of the appointed time?
Thanks, Cruisers. It's been awhile for me and things have changed (for the better I might add!)
That hat is the good thing about FTTF, you get to board right after the diamond and platinum card holders and your cabin should be ready upon boarding. The exception is when there are too many VIPs. On the Journeys cruise, half of the passengers were diamond and platinum; cabins were not available until later for everyone!
