FTTF availability

Is it true that sometimes Carnival sells additional FTTF packages closer to the sailing date even though they are listed as sold out months before?

Yes it’s true, depending on the number of Platinum and Diamond guests are booked. Keep watching as often as possible for one (only 1per stateroom) to become available. I’ve watched the site a few times a day and always lucked into being able to buy it. We feel it’s still worth the price.

Yes, but not for every sailing. I once got it a few weeks before sailing, after it had been sold out for months. Check often - several times a day, as there's no telling if/when it will become available.

Thanks! I'll keep looking.

Keep checking back for they pop up again. It's a hit or miss thing.

They usually pop up again right after final payment is due. That's when they have a better number of how many diamonds and platinums they're going to have.

how do you know what level you are?

Your level is based on your total number of cruise days. Look at VIFP loyalty program on Carnival's web site.

I agree, from final payment until two weeks before I would keep checking. Bought FTTF for my daughter two weeks before her sailing.

Not too long ago, FTTF was $49. Now Carnival has raised the price at least three times, to its currant price of $119. I do not feel that it is worth the price for what you get. Just my opinion.

The more we cruise, the less we've found FTTF to be as valuable as it once was. The nice thing that we still enjoy the most out of it is when we need to tender to port. Embarkation is so automated anymore that it doesn't take long for anyone to get on the ship at their assigned time. Just an FYI :)
