Drink Package - Advantage or No?

So I have always been curious whether or not this is to our advantage or not. We are not huge drinkers but it seems we always have one in hand when on our cruises. As well, the company that we are with like to indulge so I am trying to figure out if it is in our best interest. Carnival does their package but after 15 drinks, they will not serve you any more or so it states in their policy. That is whether or not you pay for the additional ones.

Now that is not to say that I would drink 15 drinks in one day but you never know, again given the company that we are with.

What is everyones thoughts on the drink packages... Worth the money or not?

Simply cruise with NCL and get the Ultimate Beverage Package. Cannot better this deal especially when a couple of cocktails can knock you back over $25. Excellent way to keep trying different cocktails and no limit

we don't either, my husband drinks a few here and there and I may drink one or two onthe ship the whole time... I love the lemonaide. Big Smile

We don't drink enough to justify the cost of the package.

also, remember that everyone in the cabin of drinking age MUST purchase if one person purchases it. And, I also read that you can't share the drinks. so if you exceed your 15, someone else can't buy you a drink, not sure how strict they are with that.

I have received a drink package as a perk for my next cruise. Now my son who will also be on the trip and our ladies all have the package. I have heard that in many cases it is worth it. just make sure that you have all the information before you depart. like, does it cover the mini-bar? How many drinks per person are covered per day? Does it cover the wine tasting or such events. I will have all that cleared up before I leave.
