I was wondering how many of us participate in the dance classes, trivia contests, foreign language classes, water volleyball games, etc...? Or, do you enjoy just reading a book, listening to music, lounging poolside or walking around the track?

Do You Participate in Onboard Activities?

We do not participate in many shipboard activities partly because they are frequently focused on alcohol consumption. Those that aren't alcohol-specific don't always hold a lot of interest for us either. We are there to relax and spend time together so aren't real joiners.
Mostly I enjoy watching others perform, too. I agree, we are there to relax and spend time together.
Well, having won a bottle of bubbly at a dance off, and having participated in a huge pub crawl, I have to say we look for events that will make us act a little silly. Like the dating game, such like that. We have won a few perks during events that include making fancy drinks, wine and cheese tasting and judging. stuff like that.
Even if I don't participate, I often enjoy watching those who do.
If I happen to stumble into something, I may participate, but usually do not schedule anything.
Even if you don't participate, it is good to know that something is going on in case yu get boarded or the weather is poor.
We try to participate in as much as we can. That is of course, without cutting into our pool time or relaxation time :)
Of course, we would not want you to cut into your relaxation time.
I won a "Ship in a stick" on carnival for one of the contest on riddles. I have done some of the trivia. I have not taken a dance class but did get on the dance floor when I has drunk enough to think it was fun.
I am not for activities that much but enjoy the lectures and computer classes.
I always have my camera with me on cruises. You never know when you will want to take a photo.

This is what you should do. You are on vacation. Do what you want. I hate when staff members try to convince you to participate when all you want to do is chill out.
