Carnival Announces Roller Coaster

Carnival has announced that their first XL ship Mardi Gras will have a rollercoaster on the top deck. It looks like the location will be similar to the SkyRide but with obviously a much longer track and going around more area of the ship.

What do we think? I think it's an awesome idea but I'm kind of concerned about noise - the SkyRide on Vista and Horizon is virtually silent except on the parts of the track when it dips down. Most rollercoasters are louder than that. I wouldn't want to feel like I'm lying directly under a theme park ride while chilling by the lido pool!

Since I don't do roller coasters on land..... The phrase "no way, Jose" comes to mind. I agree the noise might be disturbing, but then most Carnival ships are loud on the weather decks, IMHO.

It looks amazing. Hubby will definitely try it. Me no since I am afraid of heights..lol..But cool concept for sure. :)

It looks amazing. I can't wait to try it
