Cabin dilemma

Hi all, this will be my first cruise and am learning so much now, that I should have researched before hand...

my Dilemma is our cabin...Lido deck, I wasn’t happy that we are right near stairs and elevators, then I find out laundry right opposite our door...I spoke with TA, sorry can’t move you, ship full...I had paid for balcony, and she told me this was an up grade, from what?? So goodness knows what original cabin was to be...

i will never go through TA again...but being a first cruise I thought it would be wise to...I have let her know how unhappy I am with this, her attitude is, not my problem...

can anyone tell me what I will be in store for, noise wise...

sorry this is so long...thank you...

You got it right when you put your cruise in the hands of a TA and looked the other way. That's why learning to look up deck plans and doing some homework online yourself is a wise move. That's what the definition of an "experienced cruiser" really is..You learn from your mistakes...on board as well as in life. I like the activities as much as the next person, but not where my cabin is. Next time, and I sincerely hope there will be, you can do it yourself. Leaning whats above and below, and reading reviews, some from folks who have actually stayed in your potential cabin, is a VERY valuable tool. What excursions to take, which are a waste, and so on, are all part of it. Eventually you "separate" yourself from at least half the folks on any given cruise who clearly are dazed and confused. Besides, I get a lot of enjoyment and satisfaction doing it myself. GOOD LUCK!!

Good deck, but not cabin...I know putting me there was probably because I mentioned that I get very sea sick..crossing English Channel x2..—thank you..Happy

A large number of experienced cruises highly covet those Lido Deck cabins-but I understand the other concerns
