Yank,

Yes, I do need a valet! Thanks for offering! But first, how many suitcases can you carry? Also how much weight total? How far can you carry it all?

My wife has a lot of luggage for two trips like this.

How cheap can you work? I can provide a free drink for you if that's OK with you.

I do need a prompt response before I make the offer to someone else. Let me know ASAP please. Big Smile

Really? Why didn't I think of that? So are you suggesting that because of that, one cannot contact an accessibility department for suggestions?

QM2 is Cunard (Carnival Corp), while Silhouette is Celebrity (Royal Caribbean), so not really continuing on the same line or even the same parent company.

BILGE...need a valet??? I work cheap......what you're doing sounds absolutely spectacular....

We're doing a transatlantic on the QM2 from NYC to Southampton. Spend a few days in Southampton, then on the Celebrity Silhouette for another transatlantic from Southampton back to Miami. Love it and no transatlantic flying on a cramped airplane!

As to your B2B transfers in port: I would suggest you contact the accessibility department

for their suggestions on how to get from one terminal to another. It's very likely they can offer

you something, particularly since you are in effect 'continuing' on their ships and have mobility

problems.

I would call just to be sure the two sailings are linked. They probably are, but it will avoid any possible problems. Also ask to change the port transfer to the second leg, again to avoid a situation concerning charges. Now is the time to get it cleared up, so the actual sailing time is worry free.

Our last B2B we had one person sailing the first leg and another couple for the second leg. It was fun for us and gave a bit of a different feel to the ship as their personalities were almost opposite. Enjoy your adventure!

Understood, and you're right. Could never do that at Port Canaveral.

Our spring cruise sails out of Miami and according to the Port of Miami website CCL uses terminal's "D & E", which are right next to each other and looks "walkable" (at least it does according to Google maps satellite view). I spoke with a rep from CCL who wasn't familiar with the port. I plan to try again, because I find it impossible that I'm the only person with these questions regarding S2S cruises.

Also, I did some independent research and discovered that there is a café across the street from CCL's Miami terminal "E". Google reviews revealed that a lot have people had breakfast or just hung out there prior to their embarkation. The place is called the "Seaman Café" and it looks like there is even a small park behind the building. It will definitely be our "Plan B" if we end up having to wait to board the second ship.

It really depends upon the port and which terminals your ships will be using. For example, Port Canaveral has 7 cruise terminals. Carnival operates out of Terminals 3 and 5/6, however these are on opposite sides of the channel, several miles apart by road and not passable by foot. On the other hand, at some smaller ports like Tampa, the terminals are within walking distance (10-20 minutes) of each other.

Very excited! I did it but for this coming October. I had a Casino promo and got a great deal on a Haven Room for 5 day Oct 25 - Oct 30 on the Bliss for Mexico Cruise, then booked via website for a Balcony room for Oct 30 to Nov 6. Was pretty decent deal all in all. Casinos at Sea had no bookings available for that. The combined total for all of it was about 3k. Which is what I had budgeted for a vacation.

I will have to change rooms but thats fine. They move your luggage anyhow. My question is should I call to ask them to link the room's together to facilitate that or do it when I am onboard. I also bought a port transfer for the 1st one back will I have to purchase another transfer now that has changed? I imagine I won't have to.

I have a really fortunate and odd job that allows me to cruise for longer stretches. Retired Marine and work on military planes overseas. I work 4 months on and 2 months off.

The only negative thing is first leg got a friend and his wife coming. 7 day one going solo but I should be good. I just wanted to get away.

Looking forward to it.
