Great advice given!

Pack less on clothes than otc stuff for everyone. Also take a couple extra days of meds just in case. My wife is on insulin so we take a weeks extra JUST IN CASE.

Good, sound advice and oh so true.

That's good advice for folks with kids...guaranteed to come down with something...endlessly...those days are long past for us...on a cruise ship, illness seems to take on an order of magnitude greater. and..fwiw...one of the things we make darn sure to pack is meds...and I don't mean just for normal use like most adults take...Im mean all the stuff YOU thought you won't need. lots of good ol OTC stuff.....adults get "sick" too...and yes, they'll quarantine you, and all the complaints and threats in the world won't help. the dreaded "N" word is a fact of life...rare considering a gazillions of peeps that cruise...but it can spread...we've never been involved on any ship that had it (to our knowledge)..met a couple that had "it" on a previous cruise.,,,came under the heading "shoot me now"....peeps that avoid the hand sanitizers all over should be quarantined on general principles...

Start packing now! You will find there are so many things that you want to take, but are Not needed. I saw the word family and immediately remember the first two cruises for my son were sick city. He was 3, and 5 and I think I overdid it on the infection control and hand sanitizer. Do pack a small bag of ready medicine: fever reducer, nausea meds, stomach aid, eye drops, band aids, allergy, cold and keep cleaning wipes and disinfectant spray handy to win the war on germs. Not being overly protective, but a sick kid can spoil your fun as they are usually quarantined to the cabin FOR AT LEAST 24-48 HOURS. Trust me it was not fun for us. By any rate read the other posts and gleen knowledge from veterans of the cruising sea. Enjoy!

Enjoy!
