7 Day Eastern Cruise turned into an 11 Day Western Cruise thanks to Hurricane Dorian

Our 7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise turned into an 11 day Western Caribbean cruise thanks to Hurricane Dorian! Captain Johnny kept us well out of harm's way and assured us that we had enough food & fuel. The rest of the staff brought on additional entertainment for our enjoyment. Royal Caribbean honored all drink & specialty restaurant packages for the extended portion of our cruise. We couldn't have asked for a better cruise under the circumstances.

Oasis of the Seas

September 2018 - 7 Night Western Caribbean (Port Canaveral Roundtrip) Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

Sailing on Oasis

We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise. The ship is beautiful and impeccably maintained. The crew do everything possible to assure a wonderful vacation for the passengers. There is plenty of activities onboard and the shows are fabulous. We found the food to be very good everywhere but the Windjammer. In short, I hope I am able to cruise again very soon. Excellent value for the cost.

Serenade of the Seas

March 2018 - 11 Night Southern Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip) Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

Enchantment of the Seas

February 2016 - 4 Night Bahamas (Port Canaveral Roundtrip) Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

Short Getaway

Enchantment of the Seas is an older refurbished ship.  We felt as though the cabins and hallways were smaller and narrower than the newer ships we had recently been on but the crew was fantastic. Everyone works very hard to make sure your cruise is a pleasant one. We really enjoyed the headliner shows in the evening and the atrium area is beautiful and always has something going on.

Unfortunately, due to windy and colder temperatures, we didn't spend much time on the pool deck and the Solarium was packed.  We were not able to go to Coco Cay because of rough seas. The food was a disappointment especially the scrambled eggs.

In summary,  we enjoyed our short getaway.  I would not choose to cruise in February again due to the unpredictable weather.

Allure of the Seas

May 2015 - 7 Night Western Mediterranean (Barcelona Roundtrip) Cruise on Allure of the Seas

Mediterranean Holiday

We thoroughly enjoyed this cruise.  Every port was exciting and offered wonderful excursions.  The ship and everyone that works for Royal Carribbean do their best to make your vacation as memorable as possible.  My only criticism would be that we had prepaid our gratuities which offers a "my time dining"  option which requires you to make dinner reservations between 9:00 - 4:00.  We were so busy in port and never were on board at the appointed time to make reservations resulting in us only utilizing the dining room once.  Overall, this was the most best cruise we have taken so far.  We look forward to many more!

Four Day Bahama Break

We really enjoyed this break from the Christmas rush. The ship was decorated for the holiday so it gave us time to sit back and enjoy. I highly recommend this ship and Royal Caribbean!

So Happy to be Back!

After getting off to a bit of a rocky start with the long lines in the terminal, we enjoyed a fabulous cruise! In summary, the staff, food, entertainment and cleanliness were superb! As a matter of fact, we have already booked our next cruise less than 60 days away! We are back!!!!

Cruise tips

Nassau, Bahamas

We stayed on the ship. My only complaint is that they were jackhammering up the pier to make improvements. Listening to that all day was highly annoying!

Independence of the Seas

Independence of the Seas

Enjoy every moment! I would recommend Playmakers. It was a great space with free pool tables, foosball, skeeball and basketball toss. The space was always underutilized.

Allure of the Seas

Allure of the Seas

My best advice is in the Windjammer. The staff serve you which is nice however I would then go find a seat and let them get my coffee and any other condiments such as butter or ketchup. It saves so much time wandering around and they know where everything is located.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

We loved the Oasis Lagoon and lounged the day away there. The hamburgers are the best on Coco Cay! We had a thunder storm pass close by so the pools & water park closed for a time but after that everything was Perfect!

Harmony of the Seas

Harmony of the Seas

Relax and enjoy this magnificent ship!

Falmouth, Jamaica

Not my favorite place to visit but Royal Caribbean's port is safe and secure. I was not a fan of our excursion. We decided on a catamaran ride. The catamaran was nice but it ended up being a drunk fest.

Oasis of the Seas

Oasis of the Seas

Avoid the Windjammer and try the other dining options.

Barcelona, Spain

Wonderful city blend of history & modern. Very easy to get around by public transport.

Allure of the Seas

Allure of the Seas

Central Park Cafe was our special place for a healthy breakfast complete with the beautiful ambiance that only central park can offer. It is definitely a more private and quieter dining experience than the Windjammer Cafe. I highly recommend it!
