Helpful VotesBritish couple in our early 50s, relatively new to cruising, did a Royal Caribbean cruise (in Caribbean!) with our kids in 2013; 2nd cruise is Celebrity Baltic cruise from Southampton in June 2018, just the two of us.

Superb Baltic cruise on Celebrity Silhouette
In summary, we loved the entire experience. We are “virgin” cruisers compared to many people we met on ship so maybe our expectations weren’t as high as some of the posts I’ve seen about Celebrity and this ship and cruise elsewhere. All I can say is that the ship was spotless, modern and well-equipped for our needs, the food and drink and service were exceptional and the itinerary on and off-ship were a perfect mix – like any holiday, it’s up to you to make the most of it and enjoy it. We certainly did and would do it all again tomorrow if we could afford it and my waistline could survive it 😊

Home port, so simply embarked and disembarked.

Ship could not dock for either of planned 2 days due to winds, very disappointing.

Research the ports and cities online in advance and plan your own walking tours and save yourself $$$$$.
Booked Berlin city tour with Cruising Excursions, very good and recommend.
Planned 2 days of personal touring to ABBA museum, VASA museum, palace tour, Skansen park, suggest to use SL app for city transport and 24hr pass in advance.
Booked 2-hr Segway tour to see main sights, then walked around rest of city. 30-mins walk back to the ship from centre.
Did personal walking tour, easy to walk around the city in half a day, including canal cruise. Must try waffles and local chocolates.
