Norwegian Encore - Resumed Cruising August 7, 2021

Average Return to Cruising Ranking (As of October 2021): 4.2 out of 5 Stars

Covid testing was very easy. The bus dropped us off right in front of the building. Check-in and on the ship to include the testing took less than 45 minutes before we were in our cabin and our luggage was already delivered. - BubbaDat on Embarkation

Everyone was happy to be back and excited to be cruising. Our room steward even gave us an animal towel lesson. - LISASOXFAN on Service and Staff

We have missed cruising and this is our first cruise since the pandemic. It was all we hoped for and more. The staff was outstanding and made our stay a memorable one. - drpritchard2003 on Overall Experience

Efficiency galore. Easy to follow directions. Fast and smooth. Love the airport valet luggage cruise line offered. All bags were directly delivered to the airport and if the bag was overweight, there was no extra charge. Great job NCL! - Slmillertime on Embarkation

The ship provides so many different comfortable areas to sit and look at the ocean, enjoy a beverage, or a show that we never felt crowded. The overall decor was impeccable with each area having its own unique vibe and all the thoughtful design features. Common areas were always clean and the staff was always attentive. With 22 different restaurants, you could be spoiled and eat something special each meal! - kathywarwick0 on Ship Quality

Go now while capacity is limited, no lines for anything. - Ship Tip by Navychaps1

Norwegian Gem - Resumed Cruising on August 15, 2021

Average Return to Cruising Ranking (As of October 2021): 4.8 out of 5 Stars

Smooth -- especially considering the massive task of COVID testing everyone. The pre-embarkation sign-up was easy. Having people come at scheduled times made social distancing easy. - DrTomandHolly on Embarkation

We have always loved the smaller ships and have been on the Gem several times. The maintenance and cleanliness during the COVID comeback was wonderful. - BoulderCruisers on Ship Quality

Everything was back to normal and food was back to being wonderful and abundant. - tony41867 on Food and Dining

We're not much for the onboard activities -- we rest a lot. Some of the activities we look forward to, like the painting for example, were not available due to COVID. - DrTomandHolly on Onboard Activities

The staff was amazing, always helpful and the cleaning was non-stop. - Wan0912 on Service and Staff

They were as clean as humanly possible, staffed by individuals who were absolutely aware of the importance of their roles in keeping passengers, crew, and the ship safe, and literally serving scrumptious meals on a constant and fluid basis. - ChefMJ on Food and Dining

Very well organized. We were tested by the cruise line for COVID and checked in within an hour. Once the ship was available, we were onboard in minutes. - debbiedhenry1 on Embarkation

The cruise was beautiful. We were only at 60% capacity, so there was LOTS of attention from the crew. - TamithaC on Overall Experience

Since the ship was only at 50%. everything was accessible. Easy to get chairs at pool. - annettestolz on Onboard Activities

First time on NCL. The staff was excellent, professional, and very friendly. Freestyle was very easy to do. NCL needed more shows at night. The comedian and magician were terrific. We felt very safe. The ship staff was always cleaning. - Janedamico on Overall Experience
