Radiance of the Seas

Radiance of the Seas

What a spectacular ship and cruise!!!!!!

I recently sailed for the 16th time on the Radiance of the Seas. I have done all the ports of call the ship makes except the Hawaii ones. Every cruise is better than the last. The ship is so beautiful and the crew go out of their way to make every passenger feel like a queen or king. The entertainment is varied and appeals to all ages. A very special entertainer onboard named Santino and Blakjax was a very definite highlight. I would recommend this ship and any of the ports of call to any age group.

BEST CRUISE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ship is beautiful with lots of glass and great views from everywhere. The ports were beautiful and easy to get around in. The ships crew were very helpful and attentive and you could tell they love their jobs and the ship. The Captain (Rune Lokling) was so visable throughout the whole trip and he would take time to stop and chat and kid around with you. His mid day reports were hysterical and he left the whole ship saying "Hertie Gertie" and Kiss kiss kiss. I can't wait to go back.

Cruise tips

San Juan, Puerto Rico

The traffic was bad here so a far away excursion is a risk. The Bacardi rum factory tour is a waste of time.

Nassau, Bahamas

Senor Frogs was great and the straw market was very crowded but nice...the shops are okay but not a lot of different ones, seems like every block was a repeat of the last one.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

My most favorite place. Beautiful island, the people are very nice and the shopping is great, much better than St. Thomas. I would go back again and again to this island.

St. John's, Antigua

Very agressive shop owners, some of the street vendors made us nervous because they followed us around. Prices varied greatly from store to store. I recommend getting an island tour or going out to one of the nice beaches.

Cozumel, Mexico

The shopping here is very nice and the people aren't too pushy. The prices on silver was excellent.

George Town, Grand Cayman

The island is too small to accomodate so many people and ships, its very nerve wracking walking around with 1,000's of people.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

We arranged a private tour with a cab driver on our own. We set the price up front and told him the kinds of things we wanted to see. He did not disapoint. Beautiful island!!

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

The port is beautiful and it was a relaxing day. The BBQ was very good and easy to deal with...the only downside of this stop is the shops and the shop keepers. They made my family uncomfortable with all the pressure and "in your face" dealings.
