Review summary

I recently sailed for the 16th time on the Radiance of the Seas. I have done all the ports of call the ship makes except the Hawaii ones. Every cruise is better than the last. The ship is so beautiful and the crew go out of their way to make every passenger feel like a queen or king. The entertainment is varied and appeals to all ages. A very special entertainer onboard named Santino and Blakjax was a very definite highlight. I would recommend this ship and any of the ports of call to any age group.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Portofinos and Chops was excellent. Easy to get reservations and the food and service was superb. The dining room staff was also excellent, but unfornately after 20 cruises the food options have not changed and its getting old.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The daily activities were varied and fun. We found ourselves doing things that we had never done before and having fun with lots of the guests.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
There is definitely a reason why the crew has been voted #1 crew in the fleet two years in a row. Nothing was asking too much, they went way above duty making people happy and settling any minor disputes as quickly and as satisfactorily as possible.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The best part about this ship is the layout. They have the public areas spread throughout the ship so it doesn't feel crowded except at special events pool side or in the Colony Club or Theater.

Cabin / Stateroom

The size of the room was fine, all we did was sleep, shower and change anyway.

Ports of call

George Town, Grand Cayman

The island is too small to accomodate so many people and ships, its very nerve wracking walking around with 1,000's of people.
Don't Miss: The only spot that was enjoyable and not so crowded was Hell, which is a small town believe it or not. The volcanic black rock that gives its name is very interesting.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

The port is beautiful and it was a relaxing day. The BBQ was very good and easy to deal with...the only downside of this stop is the shops and the shop keepers. They made my family uncomfortable with all the pressure and "in your face" dealings.
Don't Miss: Don't miss the Dragons breathe rock...its very cool.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

We arranged a private tour with a cab driver on our own. We set the price up front and told him the kinds of things we wanted to see. He did not disapoint. Beautiful island!!
Don't Miss: Don't miss Margaritaville. The music and the food was awesome.

Cozumel, Mexico

The shopping here is very nice and the people aren't too pushy. The prices on silver was excellent.
Don't Miss: Don't miss the plaza where the locals gather singing and showing you Mexican dances etc...and Pancho's Backyard has excellent food.

Pros: The most friendly crew on the high seas!!!!

Cons: Sorry it had to end so soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
