The service was outstanding. The staff made us feel welcome, and were incredibly polite and you could just feel that the environment and culture of the workers was very positive.

We always get balcony rooms and this is the smallest one of the five cruise lines that we have been on. The stateroom attendant was very good. The food was delicious and the dining room service was good although it seemed to trail off as the cruise went on. We had anytime seating and, when we asked for a table for two, the response bordered on being rude. You would think that we had asked for something extraordinary.

I found the cabin staff Wahyudi & Gede to be most helpful & considerate especially when I got bronchitis & required Medical treatmment. The medical staff were most efficient & gave excellent care.  My veranda cabin was pleasant & I enjoyed being able to relaxoutside.

 The food was genrally good, but I feel some of the newer wait staff require more training, they leaned in front of clients to pass or pick up dishes etc.

 The wine steward was not interested in you if you were not ordering in quantity or helpful if you required a soft drink..

The ship is old but nice. Inside stateroom very small.

As a first time experiencing a cruise, Holland America exceeded my expectations. What a wonderful experience. Best of all, you get great customer service. All the workers were very friendly and always happy!

The ship is old and I understand it is going in for reconditioning. No air conditioning in my son's & grandchildren's room made it difficult even when they gave him a room on eight, we were still on four. They did give us a $ 400 credit. Many discussions with the Customer Service staff were largely un-helpful. They appeared to be overwelmed. My son will not be cruising with HA or and other cruise line any time soon.

The ship is beautiful and staff lovely, however, there was not enough activities or entertainment. It was a very quiet cruise, which is not always a good thing.

We found the ship to be extremely well kept. Staff was always polishing brass, vaccuming carpets, drapes etc. There wasn't a day that we weren't greeted with a hearty \"good morning\" or \"good evening\" by the staff.

This was the longest at sea cruise we had taken. The cabin we had was a suite (5001) and was the best we had ever sailed especially the front looking window. Cabin stewards did an excellent job for us. The food in the dining room was superb except for Thanksgiving Day. The service in the dining room was very good. All the staff were friendly and offered excellent service. There is really nothing that I can be negative about.

The ship was very comfortable and nicely laid out. We prefer a much smaller ship.

We just finished our 7 day cruise of the inside passage, round trip from Vanc BC We found HAL wonderful. They we're very interested in keeping everyone healthy, which is very important. The accommodations were 5Star and the food on the lido deck was so good and diversified that we never even got to the dining room. Wanted to be able to see out as often as we could. Juneau, Skagway and Ketchican were great towns to wonder around in and Glacier Bay National Park was the highlight of our trip. The staff were always helpful and always seemed happy to help. I would definetly recommend not only HAL but Alaska's Inside Passage.

Ship was clean but a bit old.

Nice staff. You are charged for everything beyond the core basics and the fees are outrageous. Passengers joke among themselves -- when a new napkin is supplied at dinner (\"Will this cost us?\"), but it truly is not funny. We are encouraged several times to give \"extra\" tips, even though we are charged 15% extra for tipping for everything -- meals, service, everything. Yet we are told if we enjoyed ourselves, to tip more. Why??

This is my 1st trip with Holland America and looking forward to my next trip. Holland America give you the best to see in a 7 day trip.

A fine experience.

The ship was clean and the staff was pleasant. Room service got our order wrong every time - one time we had to call an hour and a half after ordering to see where our food was and it was still wrong. Our room key somehow deactivated itself twice and we had to go to the front desk 3 times each time to get it fixed and that was not a short walk! Food was OK-had better on Carnival. Check in was quick and easy. Room stewards were great and kept our room clean.

Ship was clean, a bit dated but maybe that is suppose to cater to the older clientel and room service couldn't get our orders right!
