Review summary

Quebec City was a surprise! I felt like I was in Paris again. We'll definitely go back. Charlotte Town and Cape Breton felt like home. We loved the wilderness of Nova Scotia, and the beauty of Acadia National Park. I can imagine the beauty of the fall colors in a few weeks.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
As always - excellent

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We were pretty busy with excursions, but we always enjoy the Trivia quizes.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We especially enjoyed Chris Bannister in the main stage, and Zach and Emma in the Billboard lounge.

Children's Programs

We didn't bring children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward, Tyo, and our Neptune suite concierge Alexa, were both excellent. All the staff on the Zuiderdam were friendly and efficient.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I love the rugs in the elevators that tell you what day it is, and some that tell you "fore and aft."

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This was our first Neptune suite, and we were thrilled with the size and luxury. Tyo and Fernando made sure everything was perfect.

Ship tip

Skip the "Hop On Hop Off" in Halifax. The lines and waits were too long.

Ports of call

Quebec City, Quebec

5 out of 5
We came early to explore the city, and were happy we did. It's a beautiful city! After boarding, we went on an excursion to the Isle d'Orleans and Montmorency Falls. Wonderful!

Cruise Gulf Of St. Lawrence

5 out of 5
This gave us time to relax and explore the ship.

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

5 out of 5
It was lovely. We would like to live there!

Sydney, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
We wished we had more time at the Highland living museum. We didn't get to see everything. On the bus, our guide gave us lots of history, and even a botany lesson about the Island.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

4 out of 5
Peggy's Cove was beautiful, but we wished we had more time there. The Hop On Hop Off bus was a waste. The lines and waits were too long.

Bar Harbor, Maine

5 out of 5
The fog made tendering kind of exciting. Again, I wish we had more time to explore Acadia National Park.

Boston, Massachusetts Did not visit port

We were met by family at the disembarkation. We have visited Boston many times, and loved it.

Disembarkation

We were in a Neptune suite, and I felt we were treated very well. Our luggage was held separately, and we were directed to it immediately.
