The Panam. Anal is a bucket list tri, and my husband and I both enjoyed it and are glad we did this.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Embarkation was crowded, but the lines moved well.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
I enjoy the option of dining with only my hiss and or joining a group and meeting new people. The dining room service is very good as is the food. We always eat at the Pinnacle Grill at least once on each voyage, and did so on this cruise. The food and service there is outstanding.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The cooking demos are fun and formative. Onboard movies and port lectures are also good. There are plenty of other options, too.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The house band and singers and dancers were very good. An illusionist’s show was outstanding, and he gave an informal encore performance the next day. With his two adorable Pomeranian dogs, which are part of the act, his is a not to be missed show.
Having never been here before, we went on an excursion that took us to the scenic spots on the island. Frankly, there’s not a lot of exciting places to see, but it was good to get an overview. Aruba looks like it would appeal to people who like the resort life, maybe with a little gambling thrown in.
Curaçao offers a variety of th Nag to do. Having been there twice before, we opted to simply walk around the town, loosely following a suggested walking tour. The pedestrian bridge is fun to watch as it opens for boats - at which time a free ferry can take you across the water. And there’s plenty of shopping and places to eat or get a cold drink.
This was the highlight of the tri and the reason for taking this particular cruise. Very interesting! Warning: it can be a long day, but that’s what you’re here for,
We spent an entertaining and informative day at a rain forest. I’d recommend this excursion. There is little or nothing to do immediately outside the port, although vendors set up a fairly large shopping are at the port, and prices there are reasonable. Bargaining is part of the fun.
