I love the somewhat smaller ships. Easier to navigate, no waiting in line for elevators, staff got to know us and call us by name. Met some people from the midwest and Canada the first couple of day on board and spend late afternoon, dinner and most evenings with them. The ship doesn't have all the activities that the larger ships have, but at 76 I don't need or want a wave pool, zip line, rock climbing wall etc. I want to be able to get around the ship easily, enjoy good food and the company of others with similar interests.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Very easy. Only hitch was that one of the greeters send us to the wrong line originally. Once that was rectified the process went smoothly. Loved that there was only one walkway onto the ship not like the larger ships where the are often 3-5 before you are on the ship.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Onboard Activities

Loved the relaxing atmosphere.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The Island Magic Steel Band was great. Also enjoyed the Magician, the Comediene, the music in the piano bar and Lincoln Center. Some of the Main Stage shows seemed geared to a much younger crowd that were on our cruise. (just our opinion as we dont really care for much of todays music)
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All the staff were courteous and attentive to our needs. It amazed me that often after the first interaction they remembered our names and what our drink preferences were.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Very cleaned and well maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom

Loved the bathroom! Huge with both a tub with shower and a shower. Cabin was large and very clean. Fresh flowers and fruit basket always filled.
Ship tip
Get to know one of the waiters in each of the bars that you frequent. They will know ou by name and what your drink of choice is.
Did not know until later in port that there is a tram that will take you to the local market near the ship. Had we know this we would have gotten of the hip.
We did not do an excursion. We viewed entering and exiting the canal from the Crows Nest. Recommend that you get there early to get a seat up near the window. We got there about 5:40 AM and it was already packed. Did not do an excursion. Had fun sitting on our balcony and watching the various ships in the lake.
We weren't in port that long. Did not realize that it was a short walk to the shops. Heard from other that you need to be aware of our surroundings when in this port.
It was the easiest disembarkation that we have ever had. We have health issues. There was a ported waiting at the end of the rampway to get our suitcases and accompanied us through customs and our to where we met our ground transportation. Because we were driving ourselves and not going to an airport we opted for a late disembarkation. Had a leisurly breakfast in the main dining room and then sat in one of the lounges until our color was called. Because it was a smaller ship there were no lines to stand in then leavingt the ship or going through customs.
