We really like this line and the service, attention to detail and opportunities available. We often would rather just explore the port cities than do 'tours' as we find it intriguing to talk to the town folk in port ciities and find out all kinds of unique things about the region.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
we beat the buses and had a quick smooth process
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
presentations of meals in the dining room were exceptional. the Italian restaurant was a reasonably priced specialty restaurant with great service
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
the spa was wonderful to come back to after a long day off the ship
Entertainment
5 out of 5
the BB King group is unique to the line and a great tradition to maintain.
Children's Programs
no kids but the ones I did run into seemed to enjoy what they were involved with
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Service is a specialty of this line, the way all the crew got to know you and reach out to make sure you were pleased was great. The way they got to know your habits in the first 24 hrs made it that they never intruded but were always there right when they were needed.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
layout and design was great as well as cleanliness. This particular ship is aging and there were things that showed.
Cabin / Stateroom

the amount of storage was amazing in the space provided. I love the bathtub and space in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable and balcony nice.
Ship tip
Balcony in 5053 was not as good of view as in other cabins since next room pushed out and you only had a one way view
the town was fun to walk around although there was much construction but farmers market was great. The sand sculptures being made at the beach were intriguing to watch. Really pretty day to just walk and see and talk to town folks.
Train ride through the mountains was great to see, although the train was very crowded. Visit should not have been billed as handicapped accessible as those in a wheelchair had to stay outside (it was cold that day) and ride in luggage car of train.
a surprise to see. The port town was great to wander with many of the stores trying to figure out what to sell for tourists. We did most of our shopping here from the outdoor store to Shetland wool stores. Many of us said we wished we had bought more after getting back to the ship.
the way to get here is tricky. It was Sunday and no one to help at train station and then we hit a bike race in town. Better details would have been helpful but getting there and seeing the Millenium Bridge open and close, was the highlight of the day.
