Review summary

We just got home from a 10 Holland America cruise on the Ziederdam. It is one of the smaller ships which is nice with about 1,800 passengers. I would not recommend this cruise on this ship and will add detail in areas listed below.

Willemstad, Curacao

We went on a island tour. The tour guide had an accent and very hard to undestand and he read from a script. Very boring tour and almost everyone on the bus was glad to get back to the ship.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

This is average as it is the same as the other Cay ports of other ship lines.

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

The ship can not be responsible for the weather and some of the tours got rained out so we just went to the end of the dock and visited the local typical trinket shops. Walking around the town at night would not be recommended.

We took the dome car train tour. Our guide "Roxy" was very very good. This tour was the highlight of the cruise.

The tour we were on went to some very boring places on the island. Why go to the Aloe factory on a Saturday when it is not in operation!
