Review summary

Since this was our third time sailing on the Zuiderdam, we enjoy this itinerary. But after 25 years of cruisung with Holland America, next year will probably not be returning to cruise with Holland America. It is obvious that they are incresing the cost each year and cutting corners at the same time.

Food and Dining

Service was very slow at all meals all week, with the exception of the Pinnacle Grill.

Entertainment

Comedy was weak. Same shows now for several years. Joel Mason was the last good entertain that we enjoyed.

Service and Staff

Obvious decline in the overall service in the dining room now that tips are an automatic charge. It appeared this trip that most of the staff were the second string, not at all friendly. With the exception of "JON" in the Pinnacle, his attention to us was exceptional both 11/17 and 11/20!

Our cabin 4083 was not clean when we first arrived, it barely was cleaned each day and several times throughout the week wwe had to ask for soap, shampoo and shower cap
