It was one of the best cruises that we have been on. From the staff on the ship to the shore excursions to the food, all made this trip very memorable!!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Everything went very smoothly. We checked in online, so they verified paperwork, took our picture and we were on our way.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The main dining rooms, specialty restaurants and buffets were very good. The food and options in the main dining rooms and the Pinnacle had various options each night and tasted great.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
While we did quite a few shore excursions, we did participate in activities on deck. They included cornhole, basketball and even a 5k walk for charity!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We viewed the nightly shows and all were excellent presentations. From the ship's singers and dancers to outside comedians and a mentalist, all were entertaining.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All personnel that we engaged with were personable and desired to make our experience as enjoyable as possible. They also asked continually how they could make our cruise experience better.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Being a smaller ship, it was very easy to get around. Employees were continually cleaning "common areas".
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The size was a bit larger than other rooms we experienced on cruises. It was clean and even had a "normal" shower area.
We did the horseback riding excursion and it was excellent! Ample time was spent riding on shore through the woods and then in water along the beach. They split our group into couples with a guide with each couple, engaging in conversation and explaining various things about the horses and area. They also took pictures of you with your own device and did not charge for the extra service!
We went on the Swimming with Dolphins excursion. The water park provided various shows that you could watch, but the highlight was definitely swimming with the dolphins. The only drawback was that you didn't spend very much time with the dolphins.
We had been here before, so we hiked to a beach we visited previously and snorkeled there. Good beach, snorkeling, but poured on us when we walked back to the ship!
We went on the Hato Caves/ Mambo Beach excursion. The cave was very interesting to see and have bats flying around you. Mambo beach was very crowded, but the snorkeling was very good.
Went on the Aruba Kayak Adventure. Was the most challenging excursion of our trip due to the strong winds and currents. Our guide was fantastic! My wife and I were the only ones on the excursion, yet he did not rush us and took his time to explain some of the history of the area. He also helped pull us back to our originating beach because of the strong waves. We then went snorkeling and only stopped when I began to tire!!
Went on the Stingray City, Starfish Beach and Snorkeling excursion. Being in the water with the stingrays was certainly an experience! Enjoyed being with the interesting creatures. Not very many starfish to see, but the snorkeling was like being in an aquarium on the reef! Many, many fish to see along with a couple stingrays and a barracuda!!
It was very fast and efficient! This was appreciated as we had a very early flight home. Checking in with the Customs Officers in Key West also helped!!
