Definitely doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of a newer ship but we had a great time. Lots to do. The food was excellent. I would do this cruise again. Bring layers!!! It was cold almost every day and I wore my jacket and coat every day!! Hats and gloves even helped. Be prepared for any weather.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was very spacious and clean. My biggest problem was that any time the engine thrusters went on it was LOUD in there!!! It usually woke me up. Be sure to bring a power strip to charge stuff. Only one plug!!
We rented our own vehicle from enterprise. They picked us up at the dock. Had our car ready within a few minutes and we were on our way. We drove to baddeck to the Alexander graham bell museum. We really enjoyed it. Then drove the Cabot trail. That is beautiful.
Find out when the tide is low. Plan your excursions around that so you can walk to bar island. We took a 2.5 hour Acadia National park loop and it was fun morning. It was foggy so we couldn’t see the bay. Probably best to do in the afternoon.
We walked to old downtown. And enjoyed the old town feel. We were there on a Sunday and nothing opened until 9. We also took a taxi out to Montmorency falls. Worth it! Be prepared to take a long time to get a taxi ride home. We gave ourselves extra time.
We took the SL1 bus. So easy to get into town from the ship. Takes you to south station and you can transfer from there to other lines. You can easily do the freedom trail from there.
