Do as much as you can. If you sit on a chair and do nothing all day ut may not seem worth it. But there is always something to do if you look at a cruise compas. Eat all day. The food is amazing and so are the staff. The on-board shows are fantastic and watch as many as you can as many times as you can.

If you want a quieter room do not select boardwalk area, even Oceanview balconies have noise from aqua theater and boardwalk. Pick something closer to elevators this is a big ship.

If you want a balcony view but are concerned about child safety consider a Virtual Balcony cabin, it projects the view of the ship as if you were on a balcony but is on the wall, so no railings involved.

Many of the venues are too small to accommodate all the guests wanting to attend events or shows. If you cannot make a reservation in the beginning of the cruise, there will likely availability later in the cruise or we air in line to see if someone doesn’t make it.

If the app says the restaurants are full don’t let that discourage you. The app and online sometimes show full but they have room. At least for us they did. Went to them after boarding and got what we wanted.

The food is mundane and without seasoning and some items may be spoiled, but you should manage to get something to sustain yourself.
