Review summary

A short introduction to the Wonder. My overall impression is: great for multi generation families. Lots to do for young children and teens. Beautiful venues and suite cabins that are very luxurious.

Embarkation

Using the Royal app made the process speedy. You must be willing to use technology to make the process seamless.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Average at best. The Windjammer buffet was better than the main dining room. Guests are able to serve themselves; I don't care to share other people's germs. The MDR service was disorganized, salmon entree swam in a bowl of sauce with mash potatoes and 3 snow peas. NY Strip low quality, very tough. Carrot cake was excellent.

Johnny Rockets

5 out of 5

Johnny Rockets was very good. Fast service with our server King. Lunch here with a rootbeer float and onion rings, yummy. Good people watching.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Plenty of venues for young and active people. Pools a nice size for so many people.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Entertainment was spectacular. Large venues with ample seating, shows offered many times to give you the opportunity to enjoy.

Aquatheater

5 out of 5

Best show venue on the sea! You won't find this type of show anywhere else, but Oasis class ships on Royal Caribbean. inTense Maximum Performance was so creative plus an incredible showcase case of this all female cast's athleticism.

Center Ice Rink

5 out of 5

Amazing ice venue. A lot of entertainment packed into this space. Not a bad seat in the house. 365 was an energizing show! Wow!

Royal Theater

4 out of 5

The Effectors II was an entertaining show, but geared to a younger crowd that is into anime cartoons and superheros. Technology was superb, just didn't care for the storyline. Individual entertainers were excellent.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
This was a inaugural cruise and naming ceremony so it appeared the staff was pulled in many directions. Efficient but not much personal interaction.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I appreciate the different neighborhood. Like that the suites are all in a separate area now. The Oasis class is a tried and true design to offer many venues to different personalities and ages.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Comfortable with lots of storage. Good USB ports through out. Lighting was either all overhead with only bed side lights for indirect lighting.

Ship tip

If you want a quieter room do not select boardwalk area, even Oceanview balconies have noise from aqua theater and boardwalk. Pick something closer to elevators this is a big ship.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Easy off and on. We stayed overnight in Cocoa Beach to be able to get onboard earlier.
