Review summary

Some of the BEST if not the BEST entertainment on the seas! Beautiful ship but some of the venues are not large enough to accommodate all the guests wishing to attend shows and events.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was quick! Parking delayed us by an hour and a half!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
There was no specialty dining reservations available for us! We tried! However, they look pretty from the outside! Probably the best Windjammer in the fleet! Solarium Bistro was good and had a smaller crowd than the “jammer.” The MDR was good! Best braised short rib so far and the lobster was perfect!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Mini golf was ok, zip line was fun, carousel was nostalgic, rock climbing was great, the Abyss was anticlimactic (not fast at all), the gym sadly has little view of the ocean, the jogging track is phenomenal, the water slides were fast (get a good push or pull yourself really hard for the orange one!)

The Perfect Storm Waterslides

5 out of 5

Fast and furious!!!!

Zip-Line

5 out of 5

I did it several times in a row. It’s short but fun!

Wonder Dunes

4 out of 5

Ok for kiddos!

Whirlpools

4 out of 5

They need a good scrubbing! I didn’t care for the scum line! A daily microfiber wiping would help!

Sports Court

5 out of 5

Holy Pickle Ball Batman! I’ve never seen such a line of people waiting to play the game!

Main Pool

5 out of 5

Incredible! Busy but still incredible!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
WOW! InTENse was the best show I’ve ever seen! The Effectors 2 was incredible! Lume’s laser show and Crash’s drones were the best! Nobody can sing the National Anthem like Lume! That girl can sing! The 365 Seasons on Ice was fabulous! Absolutely flawless performance!

Aquatheater

WOWGet a reservation or wait in line! Don’t miss this show!

Spotlight Karaoke

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
You talk about being overwhelmed! When we first arrived it looked like someone kicked an ant hill! Then, anxiety started climbing fast when we couldn’t get reservations for anything! There was a server in the Windjammer on Day 2, who helped quell our anxiety! Daniel from Kenya was great counsel and helped us get the train back on the tracks! That guy is amazing! His supervisor is Hardy. You need anything, they will help you get pointed in the right direction!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Staff works hard to keep the ship clean but room service was apparently busy from the looks of the piled up dishes in the hallways! The venues are too small for some of the activities. For example, if you like Karaoke the Spotlight Karaoke on accommodated 50 seated guests! We’ve seen venues like the Star Lounge filled to capacity with Karaoke! Other venues and activities are the same way!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Central Park balcony wasn’t bad. We could hear the music from the pool deck echoing throughout the cebtral park mixed with the ambient music. Live entertainment in the park was competing with all of the other noise at times. The room was nice but we found it difficult to stay cool even with the thermostat already being set to the coolest temperature by the room attendant.

Ship tip

Many of the venues are too small to accommodate all the guests wanting to attend events or shows. If you cannot make a reservation in the beginning of the cruise, there will likely availability later in the cruise or we air in line to see if someone doesn’t make it.

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

The port is showing wear and tear! It’s sad to see some of the retail spaces unoccupied. We did not take the water taxi and walked into town which wasn’t far at all. We we able to see some retail shops and bars along the way that are often missed. The Blue B*tch has great wings! Not as hot as I’d hoped but still great! Walk all the way down the beach to the end and enjoy the FREE sand! It’s nice and uncrowded!

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Another port that is getting tired! We went on the botanical garden and sugar mill ruins excursion. It was ok. A guest performed an experiment with the specialty drink Botanical Daiquiri at the gardens and once the ice melted found the drink to be mostly water with a very thin floater of juice and alcohol. Not worth the $$$. The last stop was at the highest point on the island where we had 30 minutes to get our world’s famous banana daiquiri. Well it was good, we did it and checked it if the todo list. The view was nice!

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
This was the first time we experienced issues with parking! We arrived for our 11:00am embarkation but got on the ship at 1:00pm! It was ALL due to parking and the traffic jam!

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Absolutely the best private island in the Caribbean!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
The “Depart” icon didn’t show up on the app. We were still able to watch the TV and see which number was being disembarked.
