Fabulous! by tonyg99

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Wonder of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Beautiful new ship with so much to do! Service was great and food was spectacular. Even at only 60% capacity, it was difficult getting reservations at the specialty restaurants. Can't wait to get on the Wonder again!

What did I miss? Did RC Rush the ship into service after the China Market bad deal? by BBQBelly

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Wonder of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We were to get some good R&R on our cruise, one thing I would have enjoyed on the Wonder of the seas was the belly flop contest. I and a two time winner at this event and I brought my two metals to show off and there was no belly flop event! I think RC owes me a redo so that I can continue my streak.

Great Cruise with minor issues by Sbyers0706

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Wonder of the Seas

The Royal Caribbean app seems to have some quirks to it. Mainly it is a good app and I do like the feature of being able to manipulate the AC, TV, lights, and curtains in our stateroom. One oddity - pressing the increase temp button for the AC shouldn't turn the living room TV on. Hmm.... Also, in trying to review the restaurant menu at Izumi, all it shows are kids appetizers and entrées. Great ship, very comfortable and relaxing with lots to do.

The cruise was awesome, even though we didn’t get to visit Perfect Day at Coco Cay because of the wind conditions.

Too Crowded and Impersonal by capnaurora

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Wonder of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The overall feel for m family and myself was that the cruise was just too big and impersonal. We have cruised with Royal Caribbean and other cruise lines in the past, and this was the first time we felt like we really couldn’t do anything because there were too many people with too little space. They have cool things like an ice skating rink and a sports deck, but my mom is 70 and that’s not her thing. We wanted places to sit, play trivia, listen to music, maybe dance a little, and they were just too packed. It was so hard to get seats by the pool, and there was a lot of holding chairs and then leaving, so things were just full without being used. It felt like we had a lot of time with nothing to do. There was no captains night, which was a bummer for my aunt. We enjoyed our time off the boat the most, but just kept running up against hurdles while on the boat. The entertainment was pretty good and we liked the comedians and ice skating show! If you are a poor like us and can’t afford a nicer room, they will gladly remind you that you are trash and don’t deserve a room that is quiet to sleep in!

First Time Cruising Experience by NewbieCruisie22

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Wonder of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The service throughout the entire ship was sensational. The food in the main dining, Solarium Bistro, El Loco, and Hooked Seafood was delicious. The food in Windjammer not very good. It was over cooked and/or dried out Though my kid ate alot of Sorrento Pizza there could be more toppings on the pizza If it’s a deluxe pizza the toppings should be all over the pizza not just a 3inch in diameter circle in the center of the pizza. People should know that they have to use the mug given for sodas and where those stations are at on the ship. As first time cruisers, a tour would have been great. We didn’t ask lots of questions in the beginning because we didn’t know what to ask questions about other than where stuff was on the ship. I think it would immensely beneficial if the cruise line knew whether their guests were first timers or not. As a business owner I am telling you more money would be spent by first timers and your cruise line if information was given that provided the answers to stirred up questions. It would be very beneficial for all parties if the cruise line reached out to the guests right when the tickets are purchased. It would also be beneficial if there were diamond member cruiser recommendations for “first time guests” tip sheet was sent to cruisers. Also the attire schedule before leaving home would be extremely helpful as we had no idea about how to pack. The room was beautiful. All RC workers were extremely helpful. Day of departure was chaotic for the gentleman working the departure line. The departure line is set on the busiest floor so more signs and announcements are needed to avoid people unnecessarily crowding that area that aren’t departing. Multiple people for some reason didn’t have sea pass so multiple notifications needed for that part too. Lastly no one under the age of 21 should be allowed on the adult side. My husband and I finally had a chance to go to that side as our son went off to Adventure Ocean with a friend and the whole darn place was filled with teenagers. I couldn’t even sit in the darn hot tub because there 5-6 teenagers sitting there taking selfies. You can’t advertise that to be adults side if you’re allowing children over there. 16 years old is a child. Maybe scheduling adult only events over there would be beneficial as well as putting an attendant over there to assist adults and manage if children need adults and respect adult independence and children independence or just to realize adults have to bring there kids. When they get a chance to get away it’s valuable time. All in all glamorous and very clean ship, beautiful people, impressive service, magnificent shows, and top notch experience. First time but not the last!

Newer is not better by Anthony33

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Wonder of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I would not sail the Wonder again. Activities are severely overcrowded. The solarium design makes that area uncomfortable with no airflow. It’s new and shiny and pretty, but there are some major misses in the ship design. There are far better options in the RC fleet.

Perfect Family Cruise by coboyd111

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Wonder of the Seas

The cruise was amazing. It felt like out home away from home. The staff treated us better than family. I will miss everyone I met and will never forget you. It was amazing how everyone comes from different backgrounds and is so similar but different. Everyone I talked to was willing to stop what they were doing to have a conversation about who they are and why they are where they are. Can't wait until I am able to take another trip like this some day.

WONDERful! by pdunwell4

Some of the BEST if not the BEST entertainment on the seas! Beautiful ship but some of the venues are not large enough to accommodate all the guests wishing to attend shows and events.

We had an amazing time on Wonder Of The Seas! I give the staff 5 stars- the best service. The Aqua Show was Vegas style and the best we’ve seen! Food was delicious! Surprisingly it never felt crowded, and this was the overbooked cruise! This was top notch!

A short introduction to the Wonder. My overall impression is: great for multi generation families. Lots to do for young children and teens. Beautiful venues and suite cabins that are very luxurious.
