Not an overall well appointed nor attractive ship. Outdated decor. When we first arrived on our cabin floor we smelled a distinct musty odor in the hallway. That cleared once the A/C began pumping and a day into the trip the odor was no longer apparent. But I knew it was masked not gone.

The better you plan your trip, the more you'll enjoy the journey, time flies by so fast you'll wish you would have booked a longer cruise, we maximized every minute , We had a fabulous time , but we looked forward and planned very well . wouldn't change a thing.... Thank you Westerdam

Get to the shows early... the early show starts at 8 pm and usually by 7:30 pm all the good seats are taken and sometimes there were no seats available at all (for two people wanting to sit with each other).

I would recommend trying all the dining choices, the Lido, the dining room and the Pinnacle. They all had a wide choice of meals and the food was great. The itinerary include some really fun choices. We took the Pirate Ship whale watch and had a great time. No long lines anywhere.

There is much to do onbard, check your daily schedules to experience all the ship has to offer. Arrive to shows in smaller venues early, as they fill early . Book spa packages and make purchases towards the end of the cruise, as there will be greater discounts offered at the end of the cruise.

THE SHIP WAS NICE BUT THE TEMPERATURE OF THE PUBLIC AREAS WAS VERY COLD. HAD TO WEAR A SWEATER AT ALL TIMES.
