Really liked this smaller boat. Got the package with internet, drinks. Would totally do it again.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Thought they did a good job moving everyone along. We weren’t waiting in line at all. Parking a vehicle in the lot is convenient as there is a shuttle that takes you from the lot to the boat, or you can just walk, it’s pretty close. Expensive to park, 200 for the week. You don’t get a receipt online if you book the same day( reserve a spot) but the parking attendant has a record of it so don’t stress.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
I liked the main dining room better than the pinnacle, hard to hear in the pinnacle very crowded. The second floor dining room is quieter than the first, due to the engine noise. Unless the ship is docked or going slow. Tea is great. Love the portion size and they are always feeding you Alaskan fish options. They cooked our fish we caught, paired it with some veggies. It was wonderful. They brought it to the room.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Swam in the pools with our 9 and 12 y every day. Fitness center was kind of hot. 7 am was really picked up there, better to go in the afternoon. Could run or walk outside on the promenade deck too. Went to a lot of the lectures, art classes
Entertainment
3 out of 5
My kids loved the dancers more than I did. Comedian was ok. But fun to introduce them to some family friendly entertainment
Children's Programs
3 out of 5
My daughter was intimidated by the other groups of teens hanging out in the room so instead she just hung out with family, played in the pool and went to all of the art classes. Would say there weren’t a lot of kids movies on the tv. Every adult movie you could possibly think of tho. Pools were great. My kids were not bored. I also noticed on this ship, which was smaller and catered to adults more- no big roving groups of teens or kids without adults watching them like I’ve seen on other boats. Lots of kids, but not intrusive.
Service and Staff

Fabulous friendly staff. Work really hard, every single day.
Ship Quality

Immaculate. Everywhere we went.
Cabin / Stateroom

Loved the balcony. We were next door to my parents and the balconies had an adjoining door that could be opened so we could hang out together. Loved our cabin, was a real splurge. Beds were comfortable. Handholds in the bathroom for shower and elderly.
Ship tip
Crows nest was great place to watch sights. Lots of people liked the library but we didn’t make it there, too much else to do. Walking on the promenade deck outside was great too, esp if the weather was nice.
We went whale watching and glacier seeing. It was ok. Long day. Should’ve picked a better excursion. Others went salmon fishing, which was just ok too. Didn’t catch much.
We rented a car here and ate a lot of local food. Sunny day, spent it outside and because we had a car, we felt free and did laundry in a laundry mat, explores tidal pools, hiked around at the historical park. Great day. A bit tricky with the rental car tho.
Seaplane excursion got canceled. Was rainy and cool. Took kids kayaking in tattoosh islands but it wasn’t very fun. Rough water and it was a guided tour so you had to stay with the group and go fast and missed all the sights.
