It was terrific. We made the most out of all the amenities the cruise offered..the programs were wonderful..the staff so friendly and accommodating, the crew, so helpful, courteous, and competent. There were so many highlights for us, we travel extensively and this was a wonderful 13 day cruise to many interesting ports...we really did love the sea days and the friends we made on board.

The staff were well trained, gracious, fun, polite, knowledgeable and most of all so friendly and helpful. One of the highlights was Jeremy who gave such wonderful in depth talks of the ports of call..especially geared to independent travelers such as we are.
Ship Quality

Yes, the Indonesian ladies that kept the public washrooms cleaned were wonderful... the day the we disembarked there was a problem with the toilets on deck 2 where we waited...no water to them., they did not flush.

Everything about our balcony cabin was great, especially Asep and Alex who looked after our room.
Ship tip
Be friendly, be polite, say hello, meet as many as your fellow passengers as you can..be thankful to the staff who go out of their way to make your trip a success.
We went to Hoi An and it was the highlight of our trip...even though it was raining really hard, everyone went out of their way to be helpful and they were so kind. We took a 1 hour river cruise which was great and eat at a small local eatery with great food..we will definitely come back here. Good transportation provided free of charge into the city by HAL.
It’s a long way from the city, but the bus transportation that we booked with HAL was really good. We have been here before and as usual it was amazing, crazy, chaotic and great to experience.
This to me was one of the most interesting experiences. We live in Thailand for 4 months each year and this port and town is truly pepresnts a 3rd world country. The contrast between rich, poor and the influx of Chinese $ is astonishing. Speaking to the local, people, that is going to be a real problem with all the Chinese casinos being built. We rented a taxi and went to a beach resort where the contrast was even greater. The owner of the resort flew in on his private helicopter while we were there. It even added more to the disparity between the rich and working Cambodians. It has such potential, but it might be quite a few years before there will be a noticeable change..the garbage strewn around and lack of sidewalks was the most glaring and probably what was most obvious reason for this review. It really makes you appreciate the lifestyle we who are more fortunate are able to afford.
Fascinating port, with so much going on in the port. We didn’t go into Bangkok but went on a shuttle bus for the day to Pattaya...we rented a taxi and went to see the Santuary of Truth. It was a wonderful sight to see, but make sure you have good Mobility as there are many stairs to get down to see the temple. Don’t wear short or sleeveless tops, bring a Sarah to cover your knees and shoulders. Pattaya was over run with tourists, many many Russians who pushed their way past you in line ups and on the sidewalks. not a place I would be in a hurray to go back to.
We tendered in in an effiecnt process. We had been here to Ko Samui before, so we hired a taxi to drive us around and go to the beach with a lovely lunch. We
Great port facilities. What an an amazing city, we bought a 2 day hop on hop off bus pass and it was excellent. We stayed at Hotel G which served a great breakfast and was close to all transit. The city is a delight to the senses, we did the Botanical Gardens, (fabulous), the Singapore Flyer, river cruise, Marina Bay Sands, Little India, walked around the area in the cooler evening. It’s a beautiful clean city with millions of trees. It’s quite a bit more expensive than some of the places we have visited, but we will definitel go back.
