The ship is very elegant. The crew was fabulous. Very attentive. The food in the dining room was not as good as I had expected, although there were some very good offerings. The food in the Lido Market was very good. Lots to choose from. The Dive In grill has great burgers, dogs, and fries. We used the laundry service, and we were very happy with it. The Pinnacle Grill was excellent. Well worth the extra money. We heard that Canaletto was very good as well, but we didn't have time to go there. The pools were very nice, but crowded. Needed to get there early if you wanted to get a lounge chair. Nice bars, good drinks. Trivia in the Crow's Nest was fun. Great shows. Loved it!
Lovely room. Bathroom has tub/shower. `
We live here. Many great places to eat. Avoid Anthony's. Too commercialized. Eat in Little Italy. Just a few blocks away. Filippi's Pizza Grotto and Barbusa, both on India St, are very good.
I wanted to go to the Glass Factory. No one (locals) knew where it was. It was about a mile (not an hour away as we were told) from where we were. I couldn't get internet service even though my carrier said I could, so I couldn't map it. I should have printed directions to the places (shops and restaurants) I wanted to go while we were there. There are MANY people wanting to sell stuff while you're walking along the boardwalk. I told my guy just to buy the cigars and then people would leave him alone.
We went on the Mazatlan City tour. We booked this tour through Hilton Honors. Better prices than through Holland America. Chillie Willie was our tour guide. He was funny and very informative. The Cathedral was beautiful. We drove through town and the bus stopped where they sell shrimp, but we didn't get out. We went to the Angela Peralta Theatre. Beautiful. There are restaurants in the square where our bus dropped us off that I would have loved to try. Next time. We saw the cliff divers. That was cool. We also stopped at a distillery in town called OniliKan. We purchased some coffee flavored tequila there.
We went on the Town, Country and Tequila tour. The church is beautiful. The Hacienda Dona Engracia was okay. There wasn't any actual processing going on. Our guide showed us the equipment and told us how it works. They did provide quite a bit of tequila to taste. I had a buzz going. There was a place to eat tacos, chips and guacamole, salsa, and tequila. It was pretty good.
