Review summary

This was the best food we've ever found on a cruise ship. We paid to eat in the Pinnacle Steak House but cancelled the second night after seeing how good the food was in the main restaurant. First time on Holland America, and we will definitely use them again.

Small, of course, but nicely appointed. It even had a small bath tub, which is different.

Ship tip

The signage has not been updated but there IS a library hidden on the 9th deck, forward. That is also where the coffee bar is located. All the signage showed it on deck 3, midship.

We've been to Cabo many times so did not fight the crowds to go on the tenders. We just hung out on the much emptier ship.

If you like to walk, there is a blue line leading from the port to old town. The main square in old town is surrounded by sidewalk cafes and is a very pleasant place to hang out. Walking the malecon is also very nice.

We love PV and have spent considerable time there, so we caught a local bus just outside the port (across from Wal Mart) that took us downtown. We walked along Los Muertos Beach to one of our favorite hidden gems of a restaurant called Swell. Tiny, with tables and loungers in the sand but great service, food and reasonable prices. It's at the end of the wooden walkway on the beach that starts at the small pier heading south. We cabbed back and it was $5.00 per person which was fine.
