7 Night Alaskan Explorer (Seattle Roundtrip)
Sail Date: August 13, 2011
Ship: Westerdam
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Family (older children)
Reviewed: 5 years ago
It is intended for old people or persons who like schedules, formal dresses, strict order, quiet places.
I expected a more free style ambience.
The crew is very friendly.
The rooms require more hygiene, or the stwarts better training; I mentioned this because of bad odor (humid) coming out from some room at deck 7. Some times the bathroom remained with urine odor after it was cleaned.

the variety is poor at the buffet; the test ist good/excellent. The formal dress required for the rest of the restaurants set us off. One or two days maybe ok, but not for a whole week since we are vacationing.

The whole city is an attraction, the only regret is that it felt that we needed more time.
Don't Miss: Buchartgardens.

Don't Miss: the whole city and activities

Whale trip was excellent. But the fortress of the bear should not be recommended by you.
Don't Miss: Wild life, whales, otters, etc trip.

Pros: shows, ports

Cons: the formal attire required for restaurants

Recommends Westerdam? No.
