There was not one bad or ok employees on the cruise. Every one of employees we encountered were friendly and willing to assist.
An outstanding cruise which we would do it, again.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
It was easy and fast.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food was great at all dining avenues. It was not as fantastic as I recalled when we first cruised with RCCL over 30 years ago.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We used the fitness center and it was easy to find available treadmill. However, there was too long of a wait for available benches and weights. This was probably due to limited space.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We enjoyed the game shows, Deion Celine songs by a performer, and the juggler show.
Children's Programs
We had no children on the cruise with us.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our waiters (Darryl & Udham) and housekeeper (Sanchez) were excellent.
Darryl and Udham were attentive and made excellent suggestions when we could not decide on food selections. They were outstanding in every way possible; could not have asked for any better servers than Darryl/Udham.
Sanchez did an outstanding job of cleaning our room and making sure our needs/requests were met.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
No complaints here. Loved the idea of "washy washy yummy yummy" prior to entering the buffet and hand sanitizers being set up at the entry of the dining room.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Every aspect of the cabin was great.
Ship tip
Purchase shore excursions through the cruise line for ease of getting to and from sites.
We stayed in Athens for 3 days prior to the cruise. It was our favorite of all the other places we visited through this cruise. Must see Acropolis and its museum.
The port is minutes to the main "sites" to visit such as shops/windmills, etc.
We did do an excursion to Delos which was purchased through Shore Excursions which is NOT from the cruise line. Delos was the least favorite of our excursion because many of the ruins which we toured were not originals.
Loved this port which was a very short walk to the town (a walled city). Once we walked inside the "wall", it was full of shops/cafes and old/ancient structures.
Must do the Ephesus excursion. Amazing. Towards the end of the excursion, we were taken to a place where rugs/carpets were handmade. Beautiful rugs/carpets could be purchased for at least half the price back home in the USA.
We did not walk around the port once we returned from the excursion. However, there were many shops to look around which were within walking distance from the port.
It was easy and great. We had breakfast prior to disembarking. Once off the ship, it was easy to find our luggages and the transportation we purchase form the cruise line was an excellent idea. Fast and easy.
