Review summary

A luxury holiday on a beautiful ship with caring and professional staff. What else we would need?

Embarkation

4 out of 5
It was quite fast and well organised until the moment when a system error occurred and the queue stopped for 30 minutes. Then it became a less pleasant waiting experience in a hot and crowded room.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Amazing food and drinks all over the ship. We did not tried any specialty restaurants.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
A good range of activities on the ship despite the fact that its an older ship, only the Arcade was a bit of disappointment with run down and partially working games.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
There were some amazing and some average shows in the La Scala and some really good musicians and some not so good ones in other locations. The best artists were Hayden Smith, Carlo and Lorenzo the guitarists.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Amazing staff in room service and in the restaurants and bars. A real five star experience.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Well, the ship is 20 years old now, and it's a bit run down especially comparing to the newest ship. But we never felt it destroyed our holiday in any ways. The ship was perfectly clean, and had a good vibe what maybe the bigger and newer ships does not have.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Fantastic cabin, plenty of room and nice view.

Ship tip

Fantastic staff, food and drinks. A great way to relax!

Ports of call

Sydney, Australia

4 out of 5
Well, we are not in love with Sydney too much. It has some nice places but after a few visits it becomes boring.

Mystery Island, Vanuatu

5 out of 5
A beautiful little gem. A must have on our port-of-call list.

Port Vila, Efate, Vanuatu

2 out of 5
We nearly turned back to the ship at the port when faced to the horde of greedy, pushy taxi drivers without having any civilized option. Finally we managed to get to the cascades which was beautiful and a must have experience but became a nightmare to find a taxi driver back to the ship. They acted like an organised criminal gang.

Suva, Fiji

2 out of 5
Dirty little city, nothing interesting. Had a short walk to the Fiji museum which was ok.

Lautoka, Fiji Islands

3 out of 5
Slightly better option than Suva, hired a private driver for a day trip to orchid garden and to Denerau Island.

Noumea, New Caledonia

5 out of 5
A beautiful little civilized gem in the pacific. Like the French Riviera in a tropical environment. Excellent food, nice beaches and venues, cleanliness (except the ugly graffiti everywhere)

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and well organised but sad as well. We wanted to stay for another round for sure. 😊
