Review summary
I had a great time on the cruise to Alaska! The food was about average quality hotel food. And though most of the service staff are foreign born, they were genuinely friendly and happy! We filled our time easily with the multitude of activities aboard the ship. I had such a pleasant experience that I'm trying to coax my husband into taking a cruise too! The only con to the experience was that RCL sponsored some of the worst excursions I have ever been on. The Juneau trolley ride was abysmal and the non-glacier dog sled experience in Skagway was a mere 5 minutes (if that). For the prices that RCL charges on those excursions, there should be more of an experience.Ports of call

Pros: great relaxing music filled the champagne lounge every night!
Cons: the shore excursions were over priced and not worth the $$$
