Review summary

Viking meticulously managed every aspect of a wonderful trip.  All features of the ship and its operation were perfect.  A wide option of onshore activities was offered at each port and guided by local professional and highly experienced guides.  The Viking staff and crew were extremely friendly and thorough in carrying out their duties to the ship and its guests.  We were extremely impressed with the constant effort to make our trip comfortable and enjoyable.  Dining and menu options provided for every need and appetite from a wide offering buffet setting to fine dining in a non-formal setting.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
While mostly good, and well performed, the era of musical performances could have been more recent. This was improved on the last night with the Abba review, but before that there could have been more venues featuring music from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
This is not intended to be a children's cruise. The venues and excursions might at very best appeal to an exceptional older teen that has an already developed interest in historical and religious sites visited on the excursions.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ships design was outstanding. Possibly one of the most impressive aspects of our entire cruise was the constant and thorough effort to keep the ship immaculately clean and keeping all guest reminded of the necessity to use the provided hand sanitizers throughout the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Except for sleeping, we spent little time in our cabin, but it was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bath was the largest we have had on any cruise. Also, no cold floors in the bath as they are warmed. Sadly, the season didn't permit us to comfortably use the veranda except for an occasional view of our arrival in ports or to take a picture.

Ship tip

Take advantage of the fine dining opportunities, relaxing in the Explorers Lounge or pool side area, and the entertainment in the atrium and theater.
