Best ocean cruise we have ever taken. Viking provides an unbelievable vacation experience like no other cruise line I have been on. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and on-board personnel and the excellent job they do handling all of their passengers.
The only real complaint I have is that my wife and I are retired and have many options available to us when we want to take a vacation. This is the second time we booked a Viking cruise on our wedding anniversary to celebrate, and the second time Viking forgot or did not make special arrangements for us. We booked the Viking Sea to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary and made arrangements with Viking for a celebration at the Chef's Table on the 22nd of April. I confirmed this booking and celebration 6 weeks, 4 week and 2 weeks before we sailed. But the night we arrived on the 22nd of April at the Chef's I the Maitre D' it was our anniversary, but alas no recognition, no celebration no nothing. Very, Very embarrassed and disappointed that Viking made no effort to help us celebrate.

Once we got to the ship it was great. But since Viking no longer docks in Venice it takes way to much time once we left the airport to get to the Viking Sea's dock.

The Buffet's and main dining rooms were great. We tried the specialty restaurants but were very disappointed in the service and the quality of the food. I would not waste time booking reservations for them during a trip. Food and service was much better in the buffets and main dining restaurants.

Entertainment very good. We loved ABBA night and Beatles tribute. Chamber music was good, the guitarist was excellent.

Our room steward, Mr. Gede was the best we have ever had on a vacation. The servers in the main restaurant were excellent and we requested Emili over and over. The servers at the Chef's table seemed uninterested and not very friendly. The server Joy, in Manfredi's was very rude and ruined out night.

This was a beautiful old town and our most highly anticipated port visit.
However, we did the included excursion and due to a mistake by Viking scheduling we only got to spend a few minutes in the old town. We spent most of our time on the bus, touring low rent and crowded residential areas and stuck in traffic. Viking should reconsider and just offer a walking tour with free time in Corfu. I would recommend passengers skip the included excursion and take the shuttle to the old quarter or one of the alternative excursions offered. We were very disappointed that we were unable to spend but a few minutes in Old town are. Our tour guide did try to make the best of the day but the tour was cut short due to a scheduling mistake.
One of the most interesting and pretty places we have ever seen. We could have spent additional hours there just looking around. The included tour and guide were great. Would have liked to spend another hour or so in the shopping areas.
Athens was a great port. The included tour was informative and just the right amount of time. Great City, warm and welcoming people, all were friendly and helpful.
