Review summary

My wife and I have cruised with many different lines over the years because the itinerary is my first consideration. I believe that Viking Ocean is now one of my first choices for a number of reasons- no casino (thus, no casino smoking), no children, small number of passengers, great food tastes and variety.

Specialty restaurants were great, but the main dining restaurant varied their menu every night (easily viewed on stateroom tv), and it allowed a delicious variety to the dining experience.

Onboard Activities

Guest lectures were entertaining and informative. The 'blue nose' ceremony was chilling.

Entertainment

The four ship's singer/dancers put on two fun shows. The guest pianist was also very good.

Service and Staff

A+ for ship's staff. Their enthusiastic performance was top of the line for cruise ships. Hats off to the training staff, too.
