Review summary

The service was very wonderful- wherever you went on the ship, there were someone to help, a smiling face and the food was exquisite! We knew about entertainment, next port, weather etc because we had pamphlets each evening (for the next day) on our bed. Norway Fjords were beautifully grand and breathtaking- even is Bergen’s rain!

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5

Bay Tree Restaurant

1 out of 5

The Bay Tree Service in the evening was wonderful! two attentive waiters - Mark and Elberg, were there in a heartbeat, looking after our table!

Tazzine

4 out of 5

Costa was a wonderful find! Coffee was served on-tap in each restaurant but having a latte/cappuccino etc was lovely BUT we had to pay for this.

Waterside

5 out of 5

The restaurant was for breakfast/lunch for us. The meals were buffet and there was LOADS to chose from!!

Onboard Activities

Art Gallery

5 out of 5

The gallery had lots of different artists - watercolour, oil and acrylic as well as sculpture too. Most were seen in a good position too.

Hot Tubs

1 out of 5

Whirlpools in the Oasis spa was wonderfully empty of people!

Entertainment

5 out of 5

Arena Theatre

4 out of 5

The Arena is like a cinema but very comfortable and a little table for the drinks etc. The only thing I would say was it was a long way to the toilet!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin is ALWAYS clean with new towels, coffee/tea and biscuits and chocolate on our turn-down bed every night! The size was more than we hoped for and the bed was very comfortable too.

Ports of call

Southampton (London), England

5 out of 5
The embarkation time meant there was not a big queue to get in to the port, the stewards were smiling too!

Stavanger, Norway

5 out of 5
The port stewards were friendly and the town was lovely!

Olden, Norway

5 out of 5
Olden is a little Village at the end of the fjord. Although there was two ships in, the stewards were always smiling and talking. Olden is a lovely place to look around and the sunset as we sailed back through the fjord was beautiful!

Alesund, Norway

5 out of 5
Alësund is a small town. We walked around the town then traveled around by road tran. The highlight was the high mountain viewpoint (480+ steps if you walked up).

Bergen, Norway

5 out of 5
Bergen was very wet! We walked to the fish market and the old town but was soaked! Coffee was lovely at the Espresso Café and the Norwegian people were very friendly and accommodated!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Luggage went the evening before we berthed and a porter helped to take them to the car. The disembark was unstressed- each person had their time to gather and the special assistance help too!
