Review summary

The app is terrible. The only time it works correctly is each day when they tell you 6 times when your eating, to close your sliding door, etc... Other than that even the staff complained it doesnt work well. Problem is you have to use it book anything. Of course by the time you permitted to start booking tours and dining, the Rockstars have taken all the times. Everything about the ship we liked, but can not get over the LGBTQ XYZ over abundance. It was like being in San Francisco on Castro street for the parade. Something we do not care for, agree with, but tolerate. This was too much. Adults only doesn't mean you get to act like horny teenagers and everything goes.

Pools are small, area around the pool is small. Put large laydown beds right at the pool, so people hung their feet over into the side of the pool. Ugghhhhh Mostly everyone hangs out at the old style game room playing games, watching satellite sports and karaoke. Highlight for many people. As many as 200 people sitting around 1 area.

It is a cruise ship and there was one group on the circle deck area that had good music. The rest was reservation only and not worth the time.

Service and Staff

Special dining area was good service. The buffet lines and other small eateries, the staff must have been new and first cruise as there was always confusion. Your doing the same thing every day. Train your people and for the love of god. Speak english and understand english!!!!

It is a brand new ship. Very new and clean. However everyone commented, Where is the bathrooms. Very hard locate.

Cabin / Stateroom

Very roomy, nice cabin. Very quite area of the ship.

Ship tip

If your not LGBTQ & XYZ, you will see lots of immoral behaviour, staring at same sex, even the staff are hitting on the same sex onboard customers and workers. It was so uncomfortable that we do not desire to cruise with Virgin ever again.

Stood in line for over an hour on the ship. Way past our disembarkation and barely made our flight. The couple that did back to back cruise said they stood on there till 10:30 the previous week. SO there is some type of problem.

Sorry you didn't enjoy it. It feels like you didn't do too much research on Virgin before you booked. It's not like other cruiselines at all. That's why I am drawn to it.

"Adults only doesn't mean you get to act like horny teenagers and everything goes." This pretty sums up Virgin Cruises. I guess Richard Brandon wanted to created a safe spaces for the gays on cruise ships, since most are geared towards families.
