The best vacay by garovira

Ship: Utopia of the Seas

The cruise is great, but to my liking, the cost for 4 night, is too much. I think the 7 days cruise would be the best amount of days. "" 4 night is enough time to enjoy it all.

Rough check in but fun cruise by lbrasnick7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Utopia of the Seas

Overall a fun cruise, staff on ship was amazing, staff off ship (at customs) not so much. The port was fun and geared towards kids and people who party. I prefer Half moon Cay (a little more quiet and low key with great snorkeling) We brought snorkel masks but there really wasn’t anywhere good to snorkel. Anything extra on the island (excursions, water park, private beaches, cabanas) was really overpriced. The cruise, while it had a lot for kids, altogether wasn’t geared towards kids because many of the shows weren’t appropriate for kids and the music being played over the loud speaker was inappropriate

Fun girls trip! by NeedToVacation

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Utopia of the Seas

Nice big ship with so much fun stuff to do! The Boardwalk, Central Park, Zipline, Carousel, mini golf, Aqua Show, Ice Skating Show - all excellent! Good food choices in Main Dining Room. Loved The Mason Jar and Giovanni's for Specialty Dining. Excellent service all around. -- Weather was not great, so we did not make it to the Bahamas at all. Royal emailed us the night before to tell us about the itinerary change. Went to Labadee, Haiti (their "Private Beach Destination"). Had a little bit of time on the beach before lunch, then a storm came through: wind, rain, thunder, lightning -- it was really pretty awesome!!! We made the most of it and enjoyed the spectacle! Ship left port about 2 hours early due to high winds. Crazy! Great cruise with my friends! Halloween festivities were a blast!

Trick or Treak? More like Itinerary trickiness by tn1387

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Utopia of the Seas

I loved doing a cruise for Halloween! Yeah it was a change from Bahamas to Labadee but I love sea days so for sure a win. If you’re looking for a more vibrant version of Wonder of the Seas, I’d deff book Utopia, you won’t be disappointed, but do bring a fan, the rooms seem to get hot for some reason.

Hmmm - “the worlds biggest weekend”? 🤔 by trishlove

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Utopia of the Seas

First time on RC. Great ship, great experience. Definitely some differences in RC vs Carnival (I missed Guys Burgers). I didn’t like that many shows were already reserved prior to boarding. Just thinking of those that aren’t “online” or “app savvy”, they miss out. For this cruise to be marketed as the “world’s biggest weekend” I felt like it was over hyped. Definitely didn’t bring the “Fun Squad” vibes.

World’s biggest weekend by Tamerak2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Utopia of the Seas

We really enjoyed the cruise and the Utopia is a beautiful ship! The food and entertainment on the ship were incredible. The Aqua 80s show was absolutely amazing!!! However, my biggest complaint is that the sailings are too short to fully enjoy all that the ship has to offer. It feels rushed and a bit hectic to try to fit it all in and if you are like us and need your down time on a cruise, you will miss out on some activities.

Great 4 day cruise! Ship didn’t seem as big as it is. Elevators in great locations. Aqua show is a must to see, Would like to go on longer cruise with this ship. I’m platinum with Carnival but this was best cruise we’ve ever been on. by Alvic

It was just okay by cathyrose

Ship: Utopia of the Seas

We enjoyed a lot of the activities and the ship was beautiful. I feel I have to mention that it felt that we were being sold stuff from the minute we came aboard to the minute we left. All kinds of "events" were actually come-ons to buy expensive stuff. Ex: Free giveaway of bracelets, to collect them. Turned out that you had to sit for a lecture and buy something to eventually get the bracelet. I didn't see one person get the bracelet the whole time. Also, lots of stores on board that sold liquor, diamonds, and designer handbags, but could I find a Tylenol on board? No. I found a small display of very overpriced sundries in the back of the liquor store, but no Tylenol. Why not have a kiosk or store for common, everyday things that we may have forgotten to bring or had run out of on board?

Perfect Ship for the Best Vacation by aubrav

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Utopia of the Seas

This vacation was the best! We loved the ship, the food, the shows, the staff, the drinks, the casino, the decor, the activities, the pools, and all of it! The Solarium was my favorite place to hang out because it was climate controlled but felt like you were outside. The shows were the best I've seen on a cruise, I love their use of lights! We preferred the buffet to the dining room because it included all of the same food as the dining room and more in case we didn't like the themed menu. Elvis Loco Fresh and Sorrentos were also delicious and I loved that fresh cut fruit was always available at the Promenade Cafe. I didn't have a single issue, loved it all!

Definitely must see ship! RCCL got this right. They really know how to treat their customers. Something for everyone- whether it's The Broadwalk area, multiple Sports Bars , or the Serene beauty of the Central Park area- simply amazing.

Fun cruise. Need to go back for more. by drd611

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Utopia of the Seas

This ship is fun and it is huge! A floating city in a 4 night sailing I experienced only a subset of this ships offerings. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Embarkation was soo fast and easy (we arrived later). Disembarkation was fine. Lots of people but it was as smooth as it can be with that many people leaving at the same time. I loved the Pesky Parrot. They use edible straws and have fun frozen drinks. The atmosphere is a highlight… it is easy to take advantage of this the first day when we get onboard as it is on the promenade as you enter. Our balcony cabin was new and fresh and there was ample storage space. It had a closet on each side of the bed. One was long to hang clothes the other had drawers and had the safe in it. The room steward was fantastic. We ate at the main dining room, Windjammer, 150 Central Park and Giovannis. I have to say they were all fantastic. We are big fans of 150 Central Park and eat there on all the Oasis class ships. I liked the Giovanni’s location on this ship which overlooks the Boardwalk and Aqua theater and the food was great. The bread was amazing. The Aqua show was fantastic. So far my favorite one. They are all good, but here is my ranking of the Aqua shows of the 4 Oasis class ships I have sailed on. 1. Utopia 2. Oasis 3. Wonder 4. Symphony. I liked the Utopia one the best because it was the most over the top. I also enjoyed the diving a lot. It was unique in that a lot of the dives looked like (which was surely intentional) it was an accident and then they turned it into a trick. It’s hard to explain until you see it, but it is really impressive. They had 2 tight rope walkers on this show and they were incredible! We also attended some art events including a VIP art show. This was great. We love Park West art and have now purchased a few Michal Godard paintings from them. The staff is extremely knowlegeable and personable. For something I never thought I’d be interested in, they do a great job making this an exciting new interest. The pool deck is so gigantic. It feels and probably is larger than Oasis and Symphony’s pool decks. I like how the ice cream is located in the middle of the ship. I love the Solarium area (adults only pool space). It is so beautiful and there were always places to sit/lay even when it was more crowded on sea days. I only had one single thing that I thought was not an improvement over the older Oasis class ships. On the Utopia the larger jacuzzis have no jets. I love jets. Bummer. They are beautiful and they maintained the temperature just fine, but for me I like to get that massage style effect in jacuzzis…not a biggie, but something I wish they would have kept the same as Oasis and Symphony. I did unfortunately get sick on this cruise and had to spend the last day in the cabin. I do not fault the cruiseline or ship as this is an inevitable possibility. My boyfriend brought me good comfort food from Windjammer (the buffet) and tea and honey and was able to buy advil to help me as well. The bed was very comfortable too. I will be back for a redo as I want to experience the rest of this beautiful ship.

Awesome cruise, but too short!! by Malange

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Utopia of the Seas

Great cruise but too short! I really wish this ship offered 7 day cruises! The food was great, our room steward Dasmand was awesome, we loved the ease of the elevator system, and the Aqua80 Too show was a must see! Our stop at Perfect Day was amazing as usual. We also enjoyed the Utopia band, they can really sing! I feel like all of the staff were very friendly and helpful! They’re super busy and sometimes just a smile is all it takes to make their day and yours! We would absolutely go on Utopia again☺️

4day / 3day back to back Utopia OTS by cruisetiludrop

Short cruise but the aqua show and ice show were highlights. Covered Solarium came in handy during a few downpours. This ship has the Mason Jar which has become our favorite specialty restaurant.
