Symphony of the Seas is an excellent choice for a multigenerational trip. We had 12 people in our group ranging from 11 - 64. Everyone was pleased with lots to do and enjoyed all the excellent entertainment. You will not be bored!
Embarkation

Arrived at scheduled time. We parked at the terminal and had barely any wait to get through security.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food selection was great. We loved all the included cafes, pizza, and hot dog stand. The buffet was good and so was the main dining room. (Although Mexican night was very bland.)
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We did almost everything. Kids enjoyed Flow Rider, Rock Climbing, Shuffleboard, Ping Pong, Mini Golf, Zip Lining, Pools, Water Slides and the Ultimate Abyss Slide. For so many people, I was surprised lines were manageable and we didn't feel over crowded. We timed things well. The fitness Center is well equip (even with dumb bells) and the jogging track is LONG and not on a deck that bothers sunbathers so you can use it all day.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
WOW just WOW. Best entertainment I've seen on a cruise ship. We saw all 4 shows, fantastic! The comedian was good too. Dj dancing in the Royal Promenade was fun too.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone did a great job. Room was always clean, dining staff were lovely and personnel took care of any concerns.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Super clean. I didn't even see finger prints on the stair glass, they cleaned so much! Layout was huge but easy to find your way around. The only downside was that the venues were not large enough to handle the crowds who wanted to participate. On Air and Boleros are horrible locations for Trivia, Game shows, and Family Karaoke.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Loved the virtual balcony. Size was spacious and we had plenty of drawers and closet space for 2 people. Bathroom felt spacious too... for a cruise ship.
Ship tip
Book your shows in the app AS SOON AS they come available. Otherwise you are waiting in the standby line hoping to get a seat. (Fine for theatre shows but not for Hiro or comedy).
We ported closest to the pier. A quick 15 min walk brought us to a lovely beach with chair rentals. Since our time in port is so short, this is a great beach day.
We took a snorkeling excursion with Royal Caribbean. It was fun (a bit expensive for what you get), but there was not enough time in port to enjoy shopping or anything else. They've done a nice job fixing up the port area!
A family favorite. Plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas. The ocean is clean. The buffet food is awesome! Lots to do for "free". But there are also pay for options if you want more privacy or adventure.
