Great cruise, great ship, main dining was a horrible experience because of the wait times, two out of three ports were nice and overall had a blast!

We selected "My Time" dining on this cruise, we've had this in the past and it worked out well, it's nice to have some flexibility in your schedule. On this particular cruise we got in the My Time line and they said when is your reservation? Reservation I asked, he said yes, we looked at our Royal Caribbean app and it had us dining at 8:45pm, I was a little shocked because I thought a reservation was the time you picked if you were dining at the same time every night, and my time was whenever you wanted. Well apparently, even though you have "My Time" you still have to select a time for each night OR do what we had to do and stand in a mile long line that moved about 8 people an hour. I had looked on the RC website before we cruised and didn't see where to choose our dining times, if it's there, then it's hard to find. So our friends said as soon as they boarded the ship they went to guest services and booked their My Time dining reservations. I don't remember seeing these instructions anywhere. So on formal night I really wanted to dine in the main dining, we got to the line 15 min before it opened, we were still about 10th in line and it still took about 45 min to be seated. Apparently they don't really have tables set aside for My TIme unless you have a reservation which in my opinion defeats the purpose of having My Time dining in the first place. We just ate at different places each and said the heck the with hassle of main dining room, which made me sad because I really like the main dining experience.

Ship tip
Get your main dining room times sorted out before you board!
Very poor area, if you wanted to use the bathroom while out on an excursion, you had to stand in a line that took almost all your time at the stop and it cost you a $1. Not impressed whatsoever.
We booked the aquarium excursion, we all (about 50 people on this excursion) waited inline at the port for a pretty long time with no information given on what to expect next, then instead of a bus or two to take us to the aquarium they were putting 4 to 6 of use in taxis of all types, some vans, some SUV's. We said to heck with this, got our money back and walked around the shops at the port. Best choice we could have made, the port stores, views and bars are great, so glad we decide to stick around the ship.
Love, love, love this place! I just usually take my young daughter to the beach. There are free umbrellas and lounge chairs you can use. There are bathrooms and bars also, you just use your sea pass for payment, just like on the ship. You can also get and exchange towels on land just like the ship. We look forward to this place, it's owned by RC and it's very well kept.
We had to get off at 7am on our own to catch a flight, apparently so did everyone else on the ship! The waiting line for the doors to open stretched all the way into the theater. I heard some people talking that apparently lived locally but were in our first off line. The first off line is for people that are in a hurry, not people that don't have to catch a flight. If you have to be one of the first ones off, I recommend getting in line very early.
