Review summary

This was my 1st cruise ever and the experience exceeded my expectations. I won't be able to go on any other cruises unless they are Royal Caribbean in the Oasis class/big ship. I really enjoyed the Christmas decorations, the nightly entertainment, food, activities and especially the staff. They were all extremely kind and accommodating.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
it was very smooth and easy considering how many people were at the port but the employees moved everyone along fairly quickly making the embarkation easy

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food in the dining room was fairly good but after day 5 quality for breakfast started to slip. The Danishes, donuts and croissants were hard, the grits were runny and the bacon was burnt. After notifying staff this was handled immediately and I didn't have any further issues.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Karaoke, Crazy Conquest game show, Battel of the Sexes game show, complimentary massages

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I was able to attend the comedy show but it wasn't very entertaining. We attended the music parties on Deck 5 of the promenade, went to Dazzles for Motown tribute night, attended Hiro which was the BEST show on the ship.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our stateroom attendant, Jeff, and head waiter, Arista, were amazingly kind, attentive, and accommodating.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I was rather impressed with the decor, accessibility, cleanliness and attention to detail seen on the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our room was much larger than I anticipated and the balcony was exceptionally large. The deck lounge chairs weren't too comfortable but they weren't horrible.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Oranjestad, Aruba

3 out of 5
We opted to do our own excursion with one of the locals and we were swindled out of $140 between 4 people for 2hrs of driving around a portion of the island so we didn't see much and wasted money

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
This island and the people were so beautiful! It was my favorite stop of all the stops. Our excursion was on a bus with fellow cruisers from our ship and was led by knowledgeable staff. We saw quite a bit and got the opportunity to get off at the beach with a return pickup included for only $25

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

3 out of 5
The locales harassing us to purchase their wares made this experience unenjoyable. We were only on the port for an hour before heading back. Their harassment made us NOT want to go to the beach which is a shame because it was so beautiful

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth and easy and the lines continually moved without any serious delays
