The Symphony of the Seas is an absolutely gorgeous ship and has many wonderful amenities! We loved every day! The food is fantastic and we definitely ate too much! Thank goodness for the almost half mile track that we took many laps on! The decor is fun and colorful and we loved the piano stairs leading to the Windjammer! This ship definitely has something for everyone! You won’t be disappointed!

Entertainment

Most of the shows were excellent. I did not like how they require a reservation for the shows. I didn’t know this and was not able to get reservations for shows that were days away. We had to go on stand by but were always able to get in. We just had to wait until those with reservations went in first.
Service and Staff

Everyone on board was super nice and helpful. I just remember that the last few cruises I’ve been on they would tend to our room twice a day. This time it was only once a day and more than once they never got to our room until after 5:00pm. I’m assuming they are understaffed and cutting budgets.

Ship tip
Make your reservations for shows prior to the week you sail.
We took an excursion to Capri, Sorrento, and Pompeii. It was a great port and we enjoyed seeing these places although it seemed a little rushed to go to three different places. I would have loved spending more time at each place.
Our e-bike excursion was cancelled due to weather so we took the bus around the city. This was a great way to see the highlights and you could get on and off the bus anytime. Then we on the cable car that goes up to the fort. I highly recommend that.
This is a beautiful island and we took an excursion called Ultimate Adventure. We were taken to an ocean cove where we climbed rocks and jumped off into the ocean. It was so much fun. We also had some time to do some shopping at the mall right by the port. Great prices on clothes and shoes! Bring an extra suitcase!!
Marseille was not our favorite city but we took a taxi to Cassis which we highly recommend. Just beware that you will need a taxi reservation to get back to the ship. We were getting nervous about getting a ride back but thankfully were able to get an Uber.
We did not have a pre-planned excursion at this port. As soon as you get off the ship you enter a building where they are signing people up for rides to Pisa and other places. We did this and were very happy with it.
