Review summary

We loved the ships and ports, I wish would would have had more than one sea day to recoup before more excursions. We loved the weather, we slept with our balcony door every night.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy, not crowded, done within less than 10 minutes, the US ports take so long to board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining staff great, food good, wish they had lobster! Wish they had a late dining time (8PM). Johnny Rockets was great as well, we missed dinner due to late excursion. Windjammer buffet was great, had a large selection. Cafe Promenade was great too, staff awesome, had NSA cookies and drinks always ice cold. Great place to people watch after dinner. We wish overall there were more sugar free or no sugar added options for desserts.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The Solarium pool and hot tubs were good, the hot tubs could have been hotter and the pool is just for sitting, really no swimming the way is was designed.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We really enjoyed all the shows we watched, way better than Carnival CL shows. We saw: Hiro, 1977, Hairspray, and Flight.

Children's Programs

My kids are 18 YOA.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
MDR waiters all great, very friendly. Room Steward Korrine was awesome and very friendly. Cafe Promenade staff remembered my husbands name and drink(s). Park Cafe and Hot Dog places were good. Boardwalk celebration was awesome and we liked the giveaways (popcorn, cup cakes and cotton candy).

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We liked the layout, we had been on the Allure recently and they are very similar. We are fans of the promenade. I felt overall the ship was very clean, my only issue is in the buffet, the window sill’s and edges of carpet could be cleaned or vacuumed more often.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We loved the decor throughout the ship (color scheme, carpet, furniture, etc.) We also loved the roomy shower and all the storage space.

Ship tip

Pace yourself, the ports have long excursions, try and take the ones with multiple stops, so you can see a lot with a little bus ride break in between. Take blister bandaids with you!

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

4 out of 5
We had only spent one night before the cruise and two nights after the cruise, the city is big and somewhat crowded in the summer. No RCCL excursions, but after the cruise we took the City’s Hop On and Hop Off Bus, it was great and we got to see lots without all the walking. I would recommend getting tour tickets early, as they get sold out and you can’t go inside places.

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

5 out of 5
Beach was good, I was happy there weren’t any bugs! The shops were good, we loved the McDonalds on the beach, they offered items not found in the USA! Hubby had is feet soak in the fish bowl and loved it.

Marseille (Provence), France

4 out of 5
Tour was good, we broke off when we got to the square to go find lunch and do some shopping. Tour guide very informative and knowledgeable. Be aware of pick pockets and pushy people trying to give you something then wanting money.

La Spezia, Italy

4 out of 5
Tour and guide were both good.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

4 out of 5
Tour and guide were both good.

Naples, Italy Did not visit port

Too tired! Too much walking on days previously on cobblestone roads and steps.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Great, didn’t take long at all.
