Review summary

The ship itself is worth taking a trip at least once. This was our second on Symphony of the seas. The overall quality and choices of both food and entertainment has gone down within few years. I hope they don’t decline further.

We were on the Symphony of the seas two years ago with several friends and we absolutely loved the quality and choice’s both in the dinning room and the buffet. This March cruise was a disappointment to say the least, I always thought Royal Caribbean was above the fray. There are less choices and the quality has gone down drastically on all dinning choices, even the pizza which used to be freshly made was exceptional now looks and tastes like frozen from Walmart. Even the staff looks at you apologetically and grins when you reference the quality of food.

Excellent staff service! I am glad that hasn’t suffered. One thing I did complain about while on the ship was their organization. On both port of call, we were able to get towels at Exit, but when you are returning hot and sweaty no returns at entrance, you have to drag your kids to the 15th deck and wait 10-15 minutes in line to return the towels so they won’t be charged to you. That was absolutely horrible!
