Embarkation

Overall fairly quick as we were prepared with documents and tests. HOWEVER we were delayed about 15 minutes at security because there were only two people, one inexperienced. They flagged both carryons, and released one without looking in it? The other they confiscated a power strip (I have researched this and every source say they are ok if no surge protection, this one didn’t have it. They said it was not acceptable because it had a 3 prong plug (there is a three prong outlet in the room) annoying and inconsistent. I didn’t really need it as they were plenty of outlets in the cabin. 2-3,at the desk, one usb on one side of the bed and a full outlet on the other.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

Plenty to do, plenty of seating. The pool gets crowded so go early unless you like the party crowd. We booked the kayak at 1pm because we didn’t want to go right away at 11. The kayak was fun but the tour was a mistake. We were delayed a half hour, the tour is very physical, and about 1 hour 20 minutes, when we got back, we were exhausted, we went to eat right away, good thing as most restaurant/buffets closed in 10 minutes. Too much time killed. If I could have rented a kayak for 20 minutes early in the day would have been much better. I did the water park slide, made the mistake of doing the highest/best slide first (1 hour wait). At the end of the day, 10 minute wait. Do the other small

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

We were lucky, one, not having a hurricane, two, because hurricane season, only one ship in port. We went to Megan’s beach, really nice, but a lot of people. You can walk to either end for less people. I didn’t see fish a first, but then saw groups of fish, sea turtles and a stingray. Maybe have a plan B beach if it gets too crowded. On a past cruise, we took the excursion to St. Johns Trunk Bay, was beautiful

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

We went by taxi to Pinel Island, very nice, has two good restaurant bars with chairs umbrellas on the beach. We took a taxi from port to the ferry on the French side. Ferry starts at 9:30am and runs about every 30 minutes. Talk to your taxi, get there # and arrange a time to pick you up. Then we went to Orient beach, Marigot and back to Phillpsburg
