Review summary

My wife and I did enjoy the cruise. I just wish RCL didn’t find more and more reasons to charge more money. Make cruises all inclusive.

Embarkation

I paid for the Key program. We were sent to the lounge. But there was nothing to eat or drink. Nice facility but there should have been something to see or do regarding the cruise.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

I hate hate the increasing number of restaurants you have to pay a fee to eat. Just spread the cost over the 6,000 passengers and allow everyone to experience everything.

I didn’t get the storyline at Hiroshima but I enjoyed them all. I thought the Hairspray storyline was a little serious for a cruise

We sat at 8:30 pm, Main Dining Room 5, Table 803. Dave and Monica were professional, friendly and superb.

Stop charging extra for everything. Put it in the cabin charge. Charge, I understand profit. Let customers once on the island enjoy everything

I agree with LT, because if a ship holding over 6,000 passengers includes EVERYTHING everywhere the lines would be out of control. Charging actually controls a lot. Regardless, don't let it affect much of your cruise experience.

What is the Key Program, I see people mention it but no one has ever explained it.

I get wanting it all included but for us we prefer things are optional. Some cruises we do specialty dining, some we do not. We are happy with a beach day at Cococay or Labadee. One thing we always get is the beverage package. With the bottled water, wine and beer prefer to prepay than purchase individually. But, cruising is for so many different people and everyone has their preferences.

I hope they never add all of the options into the cabin charge. We rarely purchase anything other than the base cruise fare and the daily gratuity charges and have a great time. We don’t purchase soft drinks or alcoholic beverages, go to the casino or purchase excursions through the ship. It should be up to each passenger as to whether they want to spend money on additional things or not. If you prefer a more all-inclusive experience, try Oceania, Regent, Symphony, Crystal or Viking.
