Review summary

This was not my first cruise but my first of the Mediterranean. I went with a travel group and had the chance to meet various people. It was a fun and great time. The Symphony is a HUGE ship!!! I barely felt the rocking of the ship. There's always something to do. I think they should have made a little larger areas that would attract more people. But overall, a great time and experience.

Quick and orderly. No long lines.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The main buffet is the Windjammer. I appreciated the attendants making you wash your hands before entering. However, I found the food bland and boring. There were better selections at the main dining hall. Michael, our head waiter, was awesome. There was one evening where I had to wait an hour for a seat. I was a party of 1. I found that discouraging, to say the least. Chops was a really good restaurant. I would recommend. My friend went to Hooked and was sick the next day. We believe it was food poisoning.

Onboard Activities

Hiro was great! The comedian was best when he was ad-libbing. Flight was so-so. Overall there were a lot of activities and it was fun!!!

Service and Staff

For the most part, the staff was very accommodating. I didn't like the fact that they were trying to sell you packages as soon as you board the ship.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
For the most part they kept the ship pretty clean. My roommate and I had a fruit fly infestation in our room one night. We purged our room and could not find the source. Called our room person and they sent a horticulturalist to our room (who knew)! When we returned no fruit flies.

They closed down the nearest taxi stand. Had to walk to the other side with bags in order to catch a taxi.
